THE MOBILE CARAVAN OF FUNDAȚIA RENAȘTEREA WILL BE LOCATED IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE FESTIVAL, AND FOR FOUR DAYS, THE UNTOLD WRISTBAND PROVIDES ACCESS TO FREE CONSULTATIONS CARRIED OUT BY DOCTORS
With less than 30 days until the opening of the gates of the eleventh edition, UNTOLD announces a new social campaign with significant impact on women’s health. Starting from the fact that a large part of the UNTOLD audience is female, the festival organizers wish to carry forward the mission of creating memorable moments, but also real contexts of care, prevention, and support for its community.
For the first time in Europe, within a festival of this scale, UNTOLD participants will be able to benefit free of charge from HPV testing, one of the most important prevention methods in women’s health. In partnership with Fundația Renașterea, within the medical caravan present at the festival, free breast ultrasounds will also be offered, alongside information and counseling services carried out by specialized medical personnel.
Through this partnership, Fundația Renașterea joins the UNTOLD ONE story with an activation dedicated to health, prevention, and responsibility. The mobile medical unit will be located in the proximity of the festival, where participants will be able to access free services in a safe, discreet, and professional setting, provided by specialist doctors from the Oncological Institute in Cluj-Napoca.
Mihaela Geoană, President of Fundația Renașterea
“UNTOLD demonstrates this year that a festival can offer more than music and emotion it can offer the chance for health and even the saving of lives. It is the first time that cancer prevention arrives for the first time in the heart of a music festival, and for Fundația Renașterea it is a truly historic moment. Health must be accessible wherever people live experiences that bring them together, and a festival is the place where we can reach a young audience. We will meet in Cluj tens of thousands of women from Romania and from around the world, whom we invite to step through the doors of the mobile unit, where they may have their first contact with an HPV test or a breast ultrasound. This year, Fundația Renașterea celebrates 25 years of activity, and this premiere shows us that prevention can reach where it is most needed. Together with courageous partners we can transform a festival into a space that not only creates memories, but can save lives.”
Andreea Esca, Ambassador of Fundația Renașterea
“I have attended many festivals over the years, in Romania and around the world, and every time I have seen how much positive energy these events can bring to people. This year, at UNTOLD, it is the first time that prevention is integrated into such an experience. Practically, a festival also becomes a place where people can take a concrete step to benefit from prevention. I am glad that, alongside Fundația Renașterea and UNTOLD, we can convey such an important message to a young generation: taking care of your health is an act of responsibility. I will be there too and I encourage all girls to come and meet us, to talk with specialists, and to get an HPV test or a breast ultrasound. I would like this gesture to become a natural one, even cool, something you tell your friends about: ‘I went to the festival and I did something important for my health.’ I believe this is how we can change mindsets, so that we are no longer afraid of the doctor and we understand that a timely check-up is an act of care for ourselves.”
Through this initiative, UNTOLD extends its activities dedicated to the community and encourages access to preventive medical services in an accessible and friendly context.
Ioana Chereji, Head of Communication UNTOLD Universe
“UNTOLD means community and care for those who are part of our universe. A large part of the festival’s audience is female, and this makes us responsible to use the UNTOLD platform not only for entertainment, but also for initiatives that can have a real impact on people’s lives. Together with Fundația Renașterea, we want to bring closer to the female audience access to prevention, through free HPV testing and free breast ultrasounds, in a space where they feel connected, safe, and part of a community. We believe that the magic of UNTOLD also means care, awareness, and concrete steps towards wellbeing and health.”
The initiative reflects the commitment of the festival organizers to offer all participants a unique experience, to support projects with community impact, and to integrate, alongside the musical experience, activities that promote wellbeing, health, accessibility, and social involvement.
For over two decades, Fundația Renașterea has been carrying out national health education and free screening projects, and through its mobile diagnostic units has carried out over 40,000 free investigations, including mammographies and Babeș-Papanicolau tests, in dozens of communities across Romania.
Zara Larsson, one of the headliners of UNTOLD ONE, has been involved throughout her career in international awareness and health education campaigns, supporting initiatives that promote prevention and access to information values that are also reflected in the activities carried out within the festival.
UNTOLD supports year after year the activity of NGOs in Romania and actively participates in the campaigns they carry out, whether we are talking about health, the environment, or education.
UNTOLD, the third festival in the world for the third consecutive year, is a true space of joy, inclusion, and responsibility towards the community. The UNTOLD festival has reached its eleventh edition, which will take place between August 6–9 in Cluj-Napoca, with a lineup that includes artists such as Sting, Zara Larsson, Lewis Capaldi, Flo Rida, Swae Lee, Martin Garrix, MËSTIZA, Kygo, Steve Aoki, and many others.
