SUMMER WELL 2025 – 14 YEARS OF MUSIC, EXPERIENCES, AND URBAN CULTURE

Between August 8 and 10, the Știrbey Vodă Domain in Buftea will host the 14th edition of Summer Well, the festival that has redefined, year after year, the way music is experienced in Romania.

With a diverse line-up and an ever dynamic concept, this year’s edition brings together artists from different musical backgrounds, many of them performing for the first time on a Romanian stage. The 3 stages, along with multiple relaxation, art, entertainment, and gastronomy areas, shape a complete experience, carefully designed for an audience connected to today’s visual, musical, and social culture.

Each stage tells a story, sets a mood, and creates a distinct space.
On the Orange Main Stage, the festival’s main stage, the soundtrack of the summer comes to life with big names such as Snow Patrol, Empire of the Sun, Son Mieux, Saint Levant, and Palaye Royale, along with other artists who promise to turn the evenings into unforgettable moments.

For those interested in the new generation of artists and alternative sounds, the Sunset Stage by ING x VISA offers a platform dedicated to emerging creativity. The line-up includes rising names from the indie, electronic, and experimental scene, ready to give a fresh perspective on today’s music. Here you will listen to The Dare, Lana Lubany, or Carpetman, among others.

This year, following the “SHE IS NEXT” campaign held on March 8, Summer Well opens the stage for three emerging voices: Simona Delegeanu, Tedi, and Bianca Oance. Chosen through public nominations, the three artists are given a platform to connect with a diverse and curious audience, eager to discover the new directions of the local music scene.

A special highlight is the Electro Punk Club, a stage returning for the second year, exploring punk aesthetics in a bold way. Designed by the Space Objekt collective, the space functions as an immersive club with neon facades, intense visuals, and an atmosphere inspired by the 1970s Los Angeles punk scene, with direct references to iconic venues such as Madam Wong’s and Hong Kong Cafe.

Summer Well 2025 is, beyond music, a reflection of contemporary urban culture a meeting point between expression, community, and visual exploration.

What you need to know about tickets

The access ticket must be presented individually. If you are coming with someone, make sure that person also has a ticket (digital or physical).

Wristband and access

If you are among the best prepared, you can pick up your wristband* between August 4 and 7 from Orange Shops:

Victoriei – 09:00 – 18:00
Plaza Mall – 12:00 – 20:00
Park Lake – 12:00 – 20:00
Mega Mall – 12:00 – 20:00

and via Wolt delivery, straight to your home**:

Monday (August 4): 13:00 – 20:00
Tuesday – Thursday (August 5-7): 10:00 – 20:00

* valid for passes (general & VIP);
* minors must come with the completed declaration, and those under 16 must also be accompanied by an adult to pick up the wristband;
** service available for Bucharest.

What about access?

Access to the festival is through Str. Oltului, starting at 16:00 on Friday and 14:00 on Saturday and Sunday. It’s best to arrive as early as possible especially on Friday to avoid congestion.
Entry to the festival is allowed until 01:00 on all three days of the event.

For those with accreditations (press, partners, guestlist), the collection interval is daily between 08:00 and 20:00 (accreditation processing closes each day after 20:00).
The festival remains partially open until 05:00 in the morning, every day.

How to get to the festival:

1. Bus
Departures are from Bucharest, Străulești station. Buses will run at intervals between 15 and 40 minutes, ensuring a continuous flow.
First rides:

Friday: 15:30
Saturday & Sunday: 13:30
The last bus leaves Buftea at 04:00.

2. Train
Gara de Nord → Buftea. The trip takes less than 20 minutes, but note: there are no night return trains.
From Buftea station, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the festival.

3. Bicycle
We have a special parking area at the entrance if you choose to cycle to the Știrbey Domain.

4. Personal car
Our recommendation: avoid driving and use one of the alternatives. There is no dedicated parking for the public. If you still choose this option, explore alternative routes such as Chitila – Buftea or Corbeanca – Buftea.

These will be available at various locations within the festival and are marked on the map found in the Summer Well mobile app.

Top-up = more time for fun

The wristbands have a PIN code that allows you to top-up online, directly at summerwell.ro/topup.
Refunds are possible online until August 15, 22:00. The minimum refundable amount is 20 lei. For smaller amounts, refunds are made physically, at the festival.
The bank fee for online refunds to bank accounts in other countries will be borne by the participant, according to the festival’s payment regulations.
Online refunds can only be made if the wristband is registered at summerwell.ro/topup.

Rules made not to be broken

The FAQs section tells you everything you need to know about Summer Well;
IMPORTANT! Minor participants must carry a copy of their birth certificate or any other ID. Minors over 12 must also have the commitment declaration signed and completed by a parent or legal guardian.
All participants will undergo a body search at the entrance, without exception. Refusal of the body check will result in denied access to the festival.
Last but not least, consult the list of items that cannot be brought into the festival. We strongly believe that Summer Well is an event that encourages responsible fun, therefore the use of psychotropic/stupefying substances (drugs) is strictly prohibited.
