Lanvin teams Up with Erwin Wurm for “Dreamwalkers” exhibition at Fosun Foundation

In a notable fusion of art and fashion, Lanvin celebrated the launch of Erwin Wurm’s “Dreamwalkers” exhibition at the prestigious Fosun Foundation in Shanghai. This event, part of the ongoing Lanvin Lab initiative, showcased the synergy between Wurm’s artistic vision and Lanvin’s innovative approach to fashion.

The exhibition kicked off with a vibrant cocktail reception, highlighting the return of the Lanvin Lab sculpture by Erwin Wurm to Shanghai after tours in Beijing and Nanjing. Among the attendees were notable figures from the art and fashion industries, including Erwin Wurm, Fosun Foundation Chairman Jenny Wang, and Lanvin’s global ambassador, actor Cheng Yi.

A central feature of the exhibition is Wurm’s anthropomorphic sculpture, “Desire,” painted in ‘Lanvin blue’ and positioned at the entrance. This piece, referencing iconic Lanvin designs like the Pencil Cat Bag and Cash Sneakers, explores themes of self-expression and societal perception, embodying the intersection of art and fashion.

The “Dreamwalkers” exhibition, which includes Wurm’s One Minute Sculpture series and works that incorporate clothing, food, and everyday objects, challenges traditional sculpture concepts and will be on display until August 25th, continuing its tour across China thereafter.
