Zilele Mării and STARDUST bring aerial shows, concerts, experiences for children, and entertainment for all generations, in a weekend with an extended program from 10:00 AM.
With over 1.6 million visits recorded in 2026, together with the Beach, Please! festival, the new entertainment destination on the seaside enters the last two weeks of its first season with the extended Sfânta Maria weekend and is preparing one of its most comprehensive programs to date.
Between August 14 and 16, NIBIRU opens its doors every day, from 10:00 AM until late at night, for Zilele Mării and the STARDUST event. A weekend designed for all generations: children, teenagers, parents, and grandparents.
The results come ahead of one of the strongest periods of the summer and confirm the direction NIBIRU set out to test from its very first season: whether entertainment can become, in itself, the reason why people choose the Romanian seaside.

“The record of over one million visits in the first 29 days shows us that there is an audience for a place like this and, above all, that people come back for different experiences. We built NIBIRU for different generations and communities, and this weekend is probably the best example: you can come in the morning with your child, watch an aerial show, have a meal, go to a concert, and in the evening you can dance at STARDUST to the music you used to listen to when you were your child’s age. A festival gives you a few days. A destination has to give you different reasons to come back,” declared Andrei Șelaru (Selly), founder of NIBIRU.
Three summer days, from 10 in the morning until late at night
Between August 14 and 16, NIBIRU makes an exception to its usual schedule and opens daily from 10:00 AM, with a special program that brings together Zilele Mării, activities for all ages, sport, gastronomic experiences, and three evenings of concerts within the STARDUST festival.
On August 14, Delia, Antonia, Minelli, and Mario open the series of live shows. On August 15, The Motans, Alina Eremia, and Zodier take the stage.
On August 16, the program brings together different generations and styles: Maria Dragomiroiu, Constantin Enceanu, Surorile Osoianu, Daniela Condurache, and Veta Biriș, alongside Alex Velea, Smiley, and Connect-R.
The program is complemented across all three days by free activities for children: soap bubbles, balloon modeling, face painting, puppet theatre, music and dance, alongside the amusement park, Hype Play, train rides, the Museum of Planets, the TaranTerra reptile exhibition, and the padel and basketball courts.
Navy Day, celebrated at NIBIRU
The special program dedicated to the maritime universe is organized together with the Ministry of National Defense and brings workshops for children and adults, rope-pulling competitions, the making and presentation of sailor’s knots, a heaving line throwing competition, and skill and balance games inspired by life on board. The experience is complemented by the “Șoimii României” aerial show and musical moments with Trupa Peroni Amici.

On August 16, the program continues with BLUE WINGS parachutist launches, THE PELICANS aerobatic demonstrations, the “Technology in Action” military vehicle parade, first aid demonstration exercises, and “The Unspoken Heroes,” with training and intervention moments alongside the MAI dogs, followed by the military band, the “Sunset Ceremony,” and an AAINJAA show that closes the evening.
STARDUST: three evenings with hits that have no age
At the same time, between August 14 and 16, STARDUST brings to the stage artists who defined the soundtrack of a generation: Nana, Haddaway, The Mad Stuntman, Corona, ATC, Garcia, and Eric Martin of Technotronic.
From eurodance and pop-dance to the tracks that dominated the radios, parties, and dance floors of the ’90s and 2000s, STARDUST is built around a nostalgia that continues to bring different generations together in front of the same stage.
The first million and a bigger stake: entertainment can generate tourism
Beyond the weekend program, the first 29 days of NIBIRU have already provided the first data about audience behavior and about the potential of a destination built around entertainment.
NIBIRU has surpassed the threshold of 1,000,000 visits, and by the end of the first season, on August 30, the target is reaching the threshold of 2 million visits. The data and feedback collected in the first season indicate visitors who chose the seaside for a festival, an artist, or a NIBIRU experience. The economic effect of such a trip, however, goes beyond the boundaries of the destination: accommodation, restaurants, transport, retail, and services. The direct accommodation expenses alone generated so far by NIBIRU for artists, crews, collaborators, and employees amount to approximately 1.5 million euros.
“Entertainment can generate tourism. A concert can create a journey. A festival can generate two or three nights of accommodation. An international artist can bring to Romania someone who would otherwise have spent their weekend in another country. At a time when the industry is talking about a difficult season and pressure on tourism consumption, I believe the answer is to create more reasons for people to come, to stay, and to come back,” says Selly.
The first phase of NIBIRU represents a private investment of over 50 million euros, in an entertainment and tourism concept developed from scratch on the Romanian seaside.
From the first season to NIBIRU 2027
The first season has also functioned as a real-scale test for the development of the project. NIBIRU has brought together very different communities in the same place: from K-pop, rock, and electronic music to family events, gastronomy, sport, and the nostalgia of the ’90s and 2000s. It has also shown us who comes to NIBIRU and how people spend their time here. Families have become an important part of the audience, and the program has been adjusted throughout the summer, with more activities for children and more experiences that parents and children can enjoy together.

For 2027, NIBIRU will continue to grow starting from the data and experience accumulated this summer. Transport, parking, access, and flow management are among the priorities for the next season, so that people can reach NIBIRU more easily and spend more time enjoying the experiences at the destination.
A second major objective for 2027 is the internationalization of NIBIRU. After a first season focused primarily on the Romanian audience, the project aims to develop towards markets in the region and to attract an increasing number of international visitors through festivals, artists, and experiences that can become concrete reasons to travel to the Romanian seaside.
“Come to the seaside.” NIBIRU launches a call to entrepreneurs and investors
The development of NIBIRU also comes with a stake that goes beyond the project itself: generating a broader economic ecosystem on the seaside and attracting new investments in hospitality, gastronomy, entertainment, retail, services, and mobility.
“Come to the seaside. I believe there is a huge opportunity here again. We need better hotels, very good restaurants, new entertainment concepts, retail, services, and experiences. We have made a very big bet by investing here and I believe the first season shows us that it is worth other bets being made as well. We do not want to build an extraordinary island in a seaside that remains unchanged around us. We want NIBIRU to be one of the engines of a larger transformation,” says Selly.
The objective is for the public flows generated by NIBIRU to create opportunities for other businesses on the seaside as well, and for private investments to attract new investments and contribute to the development of the destination as a whole.
More than a festival. A reason to come to the seaside.
During the Sfânta Maria weekend, NIBIRU remains active from morning until late at night, through concerts on NIBIRU Center Stage, live music and the NIBIRU Beer Garden atmosphere, entertainment on the promenade, restaurants, the amusement park, Hype Play, the Museum of Planets, and the TaranTerra exhibition, open this weekend daily between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
The NIBIRU Promenade is open to the public, with online access from 25 lei, and each visitor can build their own experience: from a few hours spent with the family to a full day that ends at a concert or festival.
After the Sfânta Maria weekend, NIBIRU continues its daily program until August 30, with the final weeks of the first season and the RETROGRADE festival, scheduled between August 28 and 30.
