The November edition of Touch Magazine marks a deliberate editorial direction, in which the magazine does not simply feature artists but creates context, atmosphere, and visual perspective. Touch continues to assert itself as a space where authentic expression is highlighted through aesthetic boldness and conceptual coherence, and the collaboration with Holy Molly reinforces this editorial vision. In this cover, the Touch team does not work to construct an image, but to reveal a state of being.
The photoshoot, inspired by the artist’s first album, “PULS”, explores emotional intensity through a reduced yet meaningfully charged color palette. The shades of red vary and take shape through texture. The materials do not merely generate visual contrast they create rhythm and emotional layering. The result is the image of an artist deeply aware of herself and of the moment she inhabits, a presence that fills the space with both confidence and vulnerability. The photography does not illustrate it communicates. The styling does not decorate it interprets. Everything functions as a shared language between the artist and the editorial team.
“PULS”: A Journey in Four Acts
The album “PULS” is built as an inner trajectory in four stages – The Lie, The Decline and Truth, Hope, and “PULS” (Heartbeat) – where the ten tracks form a coherent emotional evolution, moving from fragility to regained balance. The material does not limit itself to confession; it creates an open reflective space in which the listener can recognize their own emotional states. Collaborations with Deliric, Calinacho, and Satoshi add depth and contrast, each bringing a distinct nuance from intimacy, to healing, to ritual intensity while the alternation between ballads and rhythmic tracks maintains a balance between vulnerability and force.
“PULS” in Live Staging
From the beginning, the album has been presented in a complex performative form, in a live setting. The official launch continues this approach, transforming the stage into a sensory space where light, movement, sound, and the physical presence of the artist combine to create an experience that is lived, not merely listened to. The audience does not simply watch they participate in the process.
A Moment of Artistic Clarity
Holy Molly is in a phase of consolidating her musical and visual identity. Her consistent presence in radio charts, diverse collaborations, and recent aesthetic evolution all demonstrate a coherent and thoughtfully constructed artistic path. “PULS” marks the moment in which these directions align: message, sound, image, and artistic positioning.
- You recently released “PULS”, your first album. How do you feel after this debut, and what does it mean for you to see all these songs come together in a complete project?
“PULS” has been the most important project I’ve worked on so far. Even now, it still feels incredibly intense, and I continue to discover new things—not just about the album, but about myself through this entire process. I’ve grown a lot, and releasing it was a huge release of my soul.
- The Touch Magazine shoot was inspired by “PULS”. How did you feel in the chosen looks, and what vibe did they give you?
I was thrilled to see how “PULS” translated into visuals. It made me happy to dedicate such a beautiful project to the album.
- Among all the outfits from the shoot, which one was your favorite and why?
It might sound cliché, but my favorite “outfit” was my own skin. “PULS” is about vulnerability, and the Touch Magazine team understood this perfectly, allowing me to experiment both with clothing and without.
- Which track from the album gives you the most confidence and makes you feel powerful when you sing or listen to it?
I still can’t pick a single track from the album, each one has its own story. I feel courage in the stronger, more upbeat songs, as well as in the emotional or melancholic ones. I feel courage in all of “PULS”, because it took a lot of bravery to bring it to life.
- How would you describe your current style, and how has it changed since the beginning of your career?
I feel much more honest with my style now. My feelings and mood reflect in the way I dress, which makes me feel much more authentic. I also feel more curious and willing to experiment and play with fashion.
- Is there an accessory or clothing item that you feel says everything about who you are as an artist?
Rings. They’ve always been my armor since I was little. I’ve been fascinated by them since I was four, and every ring has a story.
- How do you choose your outfits for appearances or recordings—do you prioritize comfort, the message they convey, or the overall aesthetic?
I’ll describe a recent appearance to give you an idea of how I view outfits, clothes, and fashion in general. At the “PULS” album release, I wore an outfit designed by Laurențiu Matei Cosmin, inspired by and built around the album. The outfit came apart during the concert, and at key moments, I painted it—red paint symbolizing pain and openness, black at the end symbolizing loneliness and acceptance of darkness. I hope this helps you understand better what clothes mean to me and the art behind them.
- Do you ever feel like an outfit changes your energy before going on stage or recording a song?
Every time. The clothes I wear on stage are like an actor’s costume. They give me strength, enhance my character’s traits, and offer me both protection and freedom.
- Do you have a designer, fashion icon, or trend that inspires you, even if you don’t follow it directly?
I’m inspired by chaos and rule-breaking. Artists like FKA Twigs, who use clothing as a form of expression and experimentation, inspire me. I’m also drawn to grunge fashion elements, darkness and shadows, innovation, and metal.
- How was the experience of the Touch Magazine shoot—did you feel the looks captured your creativity and artistic personality?
This shoot was about freedom—capturing emotion in its vulnerable, strong, and sensual forms. I hope people feel this shoot beyond the images and understand what we wanted to create.
