Herzogenaurach, Thursday, November 6, 2025 adidas has released LA PREPARACIÓN AMERICANA, a short film starring some of the world’s greatest football players as they explore a new wave of football freedom ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The story begins on the streets of Manhattan, where Trinity Rodman is at a busy newsstand filled with headlines about the unconventional training methods of the world’s top players as they prepare for next year’s big event.
Throughout the film, fans join Florian Wirtz in an unusual training session, where, under the guidance of coach Julian Nagelsmann, they compete with Canadian ice hockey players and Mexican lucha libre wrestlers, testing their readiness for the tournament.
The action then moves to the southern United States, into a western-style saloon, where Lamine Yamal demonstrates flawless control while riding a mechanical bull, wearing Spain’s new home kit under the approving gaze of Aitana Bonmatí.
Next, in an American bowling alley, Lionel Messi, followed by Rodrigo De Paul, delivers precise shots one after another.
A news correspondent interrupts the action, urging fans to “get ready,” as the story reaches its climax in Mexico City. Here, Edson Álvarez appears in a whirlwind of motion, preparing for the greatest show on Earth, set to take place next summer.
As the official producer of the match ball – TRIONDA – and the kits for more than 22 federations, adidas has been a principal partner of the FIFA World Cup™ for over 50 years. This film celebrates that connection and the players ready to make their mark on football’s biggest stage.
