Smiley, Alex Velea, and Connect-R have joined forces to create the hottest collaboration of the moment! They’ve worked on an album together and composed the coolest tracks for themselves. For one year, the artists have decided not to release any solo singles but to launch music only together – and the final result promises to be a smash hit.
“‘M-am Trezit Obosit’ is the anthem of all Romanians who curse the alarm clock when sleep is sweetest and it’s time to wake up,” says Connect-R.
“It feels like we’ve been wanting to sleep a little more our whole lives. We all wake up tired, so ‘M-am Trezit Obosit’ comes to sweeten the bitterness of waking up in the morning, and we dedicate it to all those who, for various reasons, wake up exhausted.”
“Summer’s here, that big vacation is approaching, and just like it’s coming, the desire to wake up early, work, or take action tends to disappear,” adds Smiley.
“There are many mornings when you wake up feeling like you didn’t sleep at all – either because you worked too much, partied too hard, the neighbor is drilling at 7 AM, or simply because you need a lazy morning to stay in bed and do nothing. So if so many of us are on this street, why not sing about it – loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood?!”
“I woke up tired, but your energy brought me back to life! I believe this song is going to be a big hit!” said Alex Velea.
The three artists turned the Bucharest metro into a live stage, offering a spontaneous, authentic, and energetic performance yesterday morning around 8 AM at Piața Unirii. The track “M-am Trezit Obosit” played live multiple times, surprising curious commuters caught in the morning rush. The artists were seen performing and walking through the tunnel connecting Piața Unirii 1 and 2 stations. The moment was made possible with the support of Metrorex.
All three are more than thrilled with what they have created together, after 20 years of friendship and musical collaboration.
Connect-R, Smiley, and Alex Velea have once again left their mark on this heartfelt project and launched “M-am Trezit Obosit”, a track they all contributed to, both lyrically and musically. The music video is directed by Cristi Roman.
