Bucharest marks 567 years since its first documentary attestation with a weekend in which the city becomes one big open-air stage. On September 19 and 20, Bucharest City Hall, through ARCUB, invites residents and tourists to celebrate the Capital through music, visual arts, shows, heritage and urban experiences, in a series of events that bring together five of the main landmarks of Bucharest Days: iMapp Bucharest Winners League 2026 (Constitution Square), Open Streets Bucharest, Urban Promenade (Calea Victoriei), Open Doors at Bucharest City Hall (47 Regina Elisabeta Blvd.), Dâmbovița Fresh Water (United Nations Pier) and the Triangle of Museums (Kiseleff – Victoriei Square area).

From the international video mapping show and the live shows in Constitution Square, to the cultural and recreational experiences on Calea Victoriei, the guided tours of the City Hall, the boat rides on the Dâmbovița and the activities dedicated to Dobrogea offered by the three museums in the Kiseleff – Victoriei Square area, Bucharest Days 2026 brings together, in a single weekend, experiences for all ages and all tastes.

iMapp Bucharest Winners League 2026 Bucharest, the stage of digital art

Now in its 11th edition, the most spectacular video mapping event in the Capital, iMapp Bucharest Winners League 2026, transforms the façade of the Palace of Parliament, in Constitution Square, into a giant screen for works that combine digital art, music and technology.

Under the theme “Past. Forward.,” this year’s edition brings to Bucharest seven international video mapping winners and offers two days of music, entertainment, food & drinks and live shows. On Saturday, September 19, at 8:00 PM, the public is invited to the Rudimental (DJ & Production) concert, followed by the international Winners League competition, scheduled between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM. The evening will also include a special moment dedicated to Nadia Comăneci, through the projection “NADIA – The Perfect 10,” a work by Mindscape & Carmen Lidia Vidu.

On Sunday, September 20, starting at 4:00 PM, the atmosphere continues in Constitution Square with DJ Under & MC Aner, DJ OLiX and WhoMadeWho (Hybrid DJ Set), who will take the stage between 8:30 PM–10:00 PM.

Open Streets turns Calea Victoriei into an urban stage for Bucharest Days

The pedestrian route of the 21st “Open Streets” weekend hosts sports activities, exhibitions, theater and circus performances, concerts, debates and guided tours, in an approach that highlights both the heritage and history of one of the Capital’s most important arteries, and the cultural dynamism of contemporary Bucharest.

The debates bring to the forefront themes about the city and its cultural identity. On Saturday, September 19, at Revolution Square, “Bucharest of Writers” takes place, moderated by Emilia Stere, and on Sunday, September 20, the same area hosts the debate “Văcărești Natural Park Past, present and future,” moderated by Alexandru Birău.

One of the special moments of the weekend is Battle of the Beats by Raiffeisen Bank, the first live concert in which the audience contributes as the author of the music but also as part of the jury, scheduled Saturday and Sunday, from 7:30 PM, in front of the National Museum of Art of Romania. Artists TOESUP and Denis Kablat will turn the audience’s sounds into original beats in real time, and participants will be able to vote for the winning track. The energy of the people and the vibe of Bucharest take shape in a collective creation, which continues to tell the city’s story even after the weekend ends.

Also on Sunday, at the National Military Circle, NEPI Rockcastle presents “It’s not goodbye, it’s turn heads later,” a catwalk-performance by Ștefan Lupu, with set design by Adrian Damian, music by Mihai Dobre (Șuie Paparude) and costumes made by students of UNArte’s Fashion Department, with the support of Humana Romania. The show speaks about transformation, circularity and sustainable recycling, with recovered clothes and materials reinvented as spectacular stage costumes, in a mix of fashion, dance, music, set design and video. The performance has four 15-minute shows, starting at 8:00 PM.

Open Doors at Bucharest City Hall Bucharest beyond public space

The story behind the building that today houses the Capital’s administration from the history and architecture of the former Palace of the Ministry of Public Works to its representative spaces can be discovered, on the occasion of Bucharest Days, as part of the “Open Doors at Bucharest City Hall” project.

The program includes four guided tours, as follows:

• Saturday, September 19: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM and 5:00 PM–6:00 PM;
• Sunday, September 20: 12:00 PM–1:00 PM and 1:00 PM–2:00 PM.

Dâmbovița Fresh Water Bucharest, discovered from the water

Already a tradition, Dâmbovița Fresh Water invites Bucharest residents to free boat rides, at the United Nations Pier, no reservation required, subject to available spots. Those with their own SUP, kayak or canoe are also welcome.

The rides take place Friday, September 18, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and Saturday, September 19, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and are organized by the Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23 – Rowmania Association and Nod Makerspace, with the support of the Environmental Platform for Bucharest.

The Triangle of Museums Dobrogea, between heritage, nature and creativity

As part of Bucharest Days, three of the museums located in the Kiseleff – Victoriei Square area offer, under the name The Triangle of Museums, a program dedicated to Dobrogea, with activities for children and families, creative workshops, musical experiences and architectural lighting installations. The event is organized by Sector 1 City Hall, in partnership with ARCUB, and brings together the “Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant and the National Museum of Geology.

On September 19 and 20, the program includes pottery, linocut printing and creative recycling workshops, paddle and canoe building, activities dedicated to the biodiversity and geology of Dobrogea, as well as Turkish, Tatar and Aromanian musical moments. Activities include “Treasure Hunt Discover Romania’s DNA” and the screening of the film “Wild Romania,” Saturday, between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM.
