Five energy-filled days at Beach, Please! brought, alongside the music, a dedicated space for sustainability and environment-themed games. ASAP Recycling Beach, a project created by ASAP Romania in partnership with Lidl Romania, made its festival debut with a clear message: recycling can be educational and cool at the same time.
15,000 people discovered the games at ASAP Recycling Beach, the place where fun intertwined with environmental education. Participants played, learned, and won. Over 4,000 prizes were awarded to festival-goers.
FREESTYLEASAP, the most appreciated game at ASAP Recycling Beach
FREESTYLEASAP transformed participants into sustainability MCs: each competitor chose an instrumental, drew three cards with keywords about recycling and sustainability, and created, on the spot, 1-2 freestyle rap/trap verses. The game confirmed that messages about recycling can reach young people through interactive experiences that are relevant to them.

In addition to FREESTYLEASAP, two other games guaranteed interactivity in the eco zone: CUVÂNTULASAP, the eco version of the well-known Wordle game, and PICTOGRAMASAP, the challenge of decoding pictograms and associating them with key concepts from the world of recycling.
At each game, participants accumulated ASAPPOINTS, which were then converted into MERCHASAP: T-shirts and crop tops, bracelets, as well as the iconic black ASAP T-shirt featuring the separate collection rules, one of the longest-standing symbols of the program.
The games at ASAP Recycling Beach managed to attract and surprise the audience through the ingenious way in which they blended learning with fun. Andreea (20 years old) was impressed by the interactive format of the activities: “I came for the music and ended up staying longer than I expected at ASAP Recycling Beach. I liked that it wasn’t the kind of activity where you just receive information you were actually involved. I left with prizes, but also with a few new things about recycling that I’m actually going to remember.”
Vlad (16 years old), in turn, spoke enthusiastically about FREESTYLEASAP: “FREESTYLEASAP was the coolest challenge. I didn’t think I’d end up rapping about recycling, but that was exactly the fun part. I liked that everything was relaxed, people encouraged each other, and you learned without feeling like it was a lesson.”

Bianca (19 years old) perhaps summed up the atmosphere in the area best: “I thought it was really great that in such a big festival there was also a place where you could take a break and do something different. The games were interactive, the atmosphere was amazing, and the message about recycling reached us in a simple and memorable way. Environmental education should look like this more often.”
Messages about sustainability, good energy
The Beach, Please! audience proved to be open and receptive to messages about the environment and sustainability, and ASAP Recycling Beach was the perfect space to transform ideas into memorable experiences. Every conversation about recycling, every freestyle verse, and every prize won showed that the future can be more sustainable and fun at the same time.
