“Orpheus” is a track that grabs you from the first listen – a mix of alternative rock, indie, and punk that instantly energizes you. Its fresh and vibrant sound transports you directly into the vibe of that encounter with a new person who fascinates you and makes you want more. Enjoy!
The song was written and produced by Vlad Corb.
“‘Orpheus’ started as a play in a dorm room. I never thought the song would be so well received, and here I can only thank the listeners with whom I feel I built the song together. I really love stories, and this impossible love story between Orpheus and Eurydice reminds me of all the times I fell in love at first sight and didn’t want to accept that things sometimes don’t last forever, so it’s better to try to enjoy every second to the fullest,” says Vlad Corb.
Born and raised in the heart of Transylvania and now based in Bucharest, Vlad Corb began recording and producing music in 2018. After launching his Soundcloud page in the summer of the same year, his indie alternative rock emo style resonated deeply with listeners worldwide. Known by his fans for innovative genre blends and appreciated for his melodic and emotionally charged tones, he made his local scene debut with his first album titled “Teenage Requiem.” Enveloping the audience in a nostalgic journey down memory lane, with songs that are both current and timeless, paying homage to the rock, folk, and indie icons that preceded him. Deeply influenced by bands and artists like Radiohead, Muse, and Nirvana, he manages to convey an emotion that transcends the usual agony of this era.
