UNTOLD IS THE FIRST FESTIVAL IN EUROPE TO HAVE A SENSORY BOX FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NEUROATIPIC FOUNDATION

UNTOLD brings a new premiere to the festival world and supports children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders by creating a sensory box inside Cluj Arena, a safe space for those attending the festival.

In partnership with the Neuroatipic Foundation, UNTOLD is the first festival in Europe to create such a space, which will be arranged with the help of the foundation’s representatives. It will be a safe area where children and young people can play, watch the artists on the main stage, and step out into the stadium stands.

“UNTOLD has always been created as a festival for everyone – a place where differences don’t divide but unite through music and emotion. We believe that joy should not be conditional. And access to life-changing experiences should not have barriers.
That’s why, in a symbolic moment – our 10-year anniversary – we are launching, together with the Neuroatipic Foundation, the first sensory area in a European festival. It is a safe space dedicated to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, allowing them to experience the magic of UNTOLD in their own way, at their own pace.
It’s a natural step for a brand that has always understood that it’s not just about the stage, but also the people in front of it,” said Edy Chereji, Co-Founder of UNTOLD Universe.

“We are incredibly happy about the partnership with UNTOLD, and this collaboration is another step toward inclusion – a new opportunity we want as many children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders to benefit from.
Those diagnosed with autism or ADHD have the same right to joy, culture, and belonging as anyone else. When we offer them safe access to a festival like UNTOLD, the third-largest festival in the world, we are not only validating their presence – we are shaping a future.
Integration doesn’t just mean allowing them to participate, but creating real conditions for them to truly live the experience – with meaning, comfort, and dignity,” said psychologist Crina Nedelcu, President of the Neuroatipic Foundation.

“This year, the Neuroatipic Foundation opens an important door at the UNTOLD festival – a sensory box specially designed for atypical teenagers and young people.
It is a space of safety and inclusion. Music and magic meet in a language we can all understand: the language of emotion. I also think of the parents of these atypical young people, for whom this initiative surely means more than just a gesture.
It’s a clear message that their children also deserve to live the magic of major events. That their place is in the heart of the community, not on its margins.
We hope this sensory box becomes a model of normalcy for the future of festivals in Romania. Let it be the beginning of a real conversation about access, diversity, and neurodesign – all in the service of inclusion,” said Andreea Marinescu, PRO TV journalist and Ambassador of the Neuroatipic Foundation.

Additionally, this year’s UNTOLD lineup includes BMike, a DJ diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, who will perform a show on the Tram stage.

The Neuroatipic Foundation aims to create an inclusive environment that responds to the diverse needs of neurodivergent children and young people by offering personalized development spaces and programs, providing specialized educational programs for parents and facilitators, and implementing social awareness initiatives.

The most important project of the Neuroatipic Foundation so far is the Neuroatipic Center, a facility they will build from the ground up. It will integrate architectural and interior design solutions alongside therapeutic methods and interventions to create an optimal environment for the development of children and young people with autism spectrum disorders. These children and youth will be supported in overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential.
Those who want to help build this center can donate by sending an SMS with the text INCLUZIUNE to 8864.

The 10th edition of UNTOLD will take place between August 7–10 in Cluj-Napoca, featuring a lineup that includes artists performing in Romania for the first time, such as Post Malone, Metro Boomin, Anyma, and Becky Hill, as well as world-renowned names like Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Dom Dolla, Fisher, Black Coffee, and many more.
