Pharrell Williams, a renowned fashion and music entrepreneur, has recently been officially appointed as an advisor for HUMAN MADE, the lifestyle brand created by Nigo. This development was revealed during a preview appointment for Kenzo in Paris, where Nigo serves as the artistic director.
Nigo, who is most recognized for founding A Bathing Ape (BAPE), has been collaborating with Williams for decades. Their partnership includes co-founding the Billionaire Boys Club and its sub-label ICECREAM. Given their long-standing collaboration, Williams’ formal role at HUMAN MADE comes as a natural progression in their professional relationship.
In his conversation with WWD, Nigo expressed that it was time to formalize Williams’ role, acknowledging his significant influence on the brand’s direction. Additionally, Brian Donnelly, also known as Kaws, has been named as another advisor for HUMAN MADE. Nigo, Williams, and Donnelly are set to assume their official responsibilities and commence planning for the brand’s future.
The announcement of Williams’ official role was hinted at earlier by Nigo on Instagram, where he shared an image of himself and Williams wearing matching rings, symbolizing their partnership.
