MAFIA – A NEW BENCHMARK IN ROMANIAN FESTIVAL PRODUCTION
Today opens the gates of the most exciting festival in Romania’s capital, Neversea Kapital. The inaugural edition brings over 100 artists for tens of thousands of fans from Romania and abroad. Spread across an impressive 130,000 m², the festival includes three stages: Mainstage, The Ark, Temple. To ensure a memorable experience under maximum safety, organizers, together with authorities, have taken all measures to guarantee an incident-free first edition of Neversea Kapital.
IMPRESSIVE DESIGN AND STATE‑OF‑THE‑ART TECHNOLOGY AT NEVERSEA KAPITAL
The main stage of the first Neversea Kapital edition elevates Romania’s festival production standards to a new level. Inspired by iconic shows of international artists like Beyoncé and Swedish House Mafia, its structure is industrial, futuristic, and reflects the energy of the world’s top performers.
A standout feature is the tallest LED screen ever installed in Romania, complemented by two spectacular vertical volumes reaching 22 meters, evoking stylized metropolitan towers. A complex metal framework adds depth and supports a lighting system that brings rhythm and energy to every show. The dynamic lighting evokes a city in motion—always alive—mirroring the festival’s urban vibe.
Beyond visuals, the main stage is supported by the most powerful sound system ever deployed at Arena Națională, with a record number of speakers and acoustic units to deliver a festival-level atmosphere, meeting international standards.
The Neversea Kapital main stage is more than décor—it is an experience designed to amplify every moment of the festival lineup.
THOUSANDS OF GENDARMES, POLICE, LOCAL POLICE, MEDICS AND PRIVATE SECURITY AGENTS WILL BE PRESENT TO ENSURE EVERYTHING RUNS SMOOTHLY
CONDITIONS
For three days and nights, Neversea Kapital will be the safest public place in Romania. Thousands of Ministry of Interior and Administration staff (General Directorate for Operational Management, Romanian Gendarmerie, Romanian Police, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Anti‑Organized Crime Brigade, and Local Police) will ensure all safety measures are respected. Additionally, hundreds of private security agents will be on site.
Teams from Bucharest ISU, UPU Bucharest, and SMURD Bucharest will provide support at advanced medical points and first-aid stations.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN BUCHAREST DURING NEVERSEA KAPITAL
To ensure smooth traffic, several restrictions are imposed. Residents and businesses in the festival area won’t be affected.
Restricted Roads (4–7 July 2025):
- Vatra Luminoasă Street, from Tony Bulandra to Pierre de Coubertin intersection, both lanes, starting 4 July 15:00 until 7 July 07:00
- Tony Bulandra Street, starting 4 July 15:00 until 7 July 07:00 (residents and hospital/church access exempt)
- Connecting streets between Vatra Luminoasă and Maior Coravu, and between Basarabia Boulevard and Maior Coravu, from 4 July 00:00 until 7 July 07:00
- Maior Coravu Street, 4 July 16:00 until 7 July 07:00 (residents exempt)
- Pierre de Coubertin Street, from Vatra Luminoasă intersection to sports complex, 4 July 00:00 until 7 July 07:00 (residents exempt)
- Sgt. Vasile Șerbănică Street, from Basarabia Boulevard to stadium entrance, 4 July 00:00 until 7 July 07:00
Additional Measures:
- Access to vehicles in front of the National Arena entrance from Basarabia Boulevard is restricted (4 July 00:00 – 7 July 07:00)
- Parking banned on Vatra Luminoasă (between Pierre de Coubertin and Tony Bulandra) and Tony Bulandra (4–7 July)
- STB public transport rerouted: trolleybuses 90 & 86 redirected to Vatra Luminoasă and Tony Bulandra depot; bus 143 to Baicului terminal; bus 104 via Șos. Iancului
- Night lines N1, N10, N102, N109 run every 10 minutes (22:30–05:00) from stations: Vatra Luminoasă, Sarafinești, Piața Iancului, Arena Națională
- Daytime bus lines 1, 4, 10, 40, 55, 86, 90, 104, 311 serve the stadium until approx. 23:15
Residents may apply for vehicle access permits (“tags”) for restricted zones by providing ID or proof of address/business in the area.
NEVERSEA KAPITAL 2025: THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
