In a year when the smartphone market is facing a decline, Motorola stands out with solid Black Friday results, strengthening its position in the mid-premium segment through a balanced mix of performance, design, and fair pricing.
According to company data, 1 in 3 Motorola customers chose a model from the Edge series during Black Friday partner offers, valuing accessibility, durability, and performance. The Edge 60 lineup, especially the Edge 60 Fusion and Edge 60 Pro models, recorded over 4,000 units sold through retail partners during the Black Friday period, driving significant growth in the 1,000-2,000 RON price segment.
Another key moment that boosted sales for the Motorola Edge range was the launch of the Edge 70, the thinnest phone in the company’s portfolio (only 5.99 mm), featuring a premium design, high-performance camera, and extended battery life. The product was available exclusively on eMAG Romania starting from its global launch on November 5, bundled with a special package of benefits worth 2,500 RON. The launch offer generated over 500 orders within the first 24 hours, confirming strong consumer interest in innovation and design. Moreover, the model continues to be available at a special price on eMAG until November 24, with a 1,000 RON discount.
“The Black Friday results confirm the direction we anticipated: the Motorola Edge series continues to gain ground. Sales have increased by 25% in the first half of this year compared to 2024, showing that premium design, performance, and fair pricing are exactly what consumers are looking for. In a competitive market, the fact that more and more Romanians are choosing Motorola demonstrates that the brand is growing in preference,”
said Răzvan Sturza, Sales Director, Motorola Mobility Romania.
Motorola products were featured in the Black Friday offers of key retail partners: eMAG (November 7), Vodafone (November 3-16), Altex (October 30 November 19), and Flanco (October 24 November 30).
