Five days dedicated to fashion, the new generation of designers and international creative dialogue, complemented by a multisensory moment dedicated to the inclusion of people with visual impairments
Bucharest becomes, between March 24 and 28, 2026, the main stage of fashion in Eastern Europe, with the fourth edition of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week (MBBFW). For five days, the city hosts an extensive program of fashion shows, conferences, curatorial installations and events dedicated to the creative industry, bringing together established and emerging designers, industry professionals, international buyers and press. Organized under the umbrella of the Council of Fashion Designers of Romania (CFDR), the event continues its mission of transforming Bucharest into a regional hub for fashion, creativity and European cultural dialogue.
The FW26/27 edition highlights more than 20 designers, curatorial projects, exhibitions and experiences dedicated to the creative community, as well as three new concepts in the program: Archive Sale, a pop up that brings together several Romanian designers and pieces from the archive of their collections, Influencer House, a space dedicated to content creators, and Sightless Fashion, a multisensory project that proposes an alternative way of perceiving fashion for people with visual impairments.
Mercedes-Benz continues its strategic partnership with Bucharest Fashion Week as the main partner of the most prestigious fashion event in Romania. This year, the presence of the brand gains a special significance, marking 140 years since the creation of the first automobile, an anniversary that reflects the Mercedes-Benz tradition of innovation and of defining standards in design, technology and refinement.
This collaboration is part of Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to support creativity and innovation in all their forms. The partnership highlights the shared values of the two entities: passion for perfection, attention to detail and the constant desire to push the limits of design and performance.
The main stage of the shows is once again hosted by the National Museum of Art of Romania, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
The FW26/27 program brings together designers from Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and the Republic of Moldova, confirming the role of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week as a regional platform for creative dialogue and visibility for contemporary design from Central and Eastern Europe.
Among the special projects of this edition, which bring new perspectives on how fashion can be perceived, is Sightless Fashion, a multisensory experience created by glissando.pov for Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week and the Ministry of Culture of Romania. Dedicated especially to people with visual impairments, the concept proposes an alternative way of perceiving fashion, where each look is translated into a sound universe built from the materials and textures of the garments, inviting the public to explore fashion beyond the visual dimension, through sound, space and movement.
Next Generation
This spring edition begins on March 24 with Next Generation, a day dedicated to education, dialogue and the new generation of designers.
Next Generation Conference, hosted by the Academy of Economic Studies through Bucharest Business School, brings together students, young designers and industry professionals for discussions about essential themes in the development of a fashion brand: creative identity, business strategy, retail and the global context of the industry. Within the same framework takes place the workshop First Steps to a Creative Business supported by Banca Transilvania, dedicated to the first steps in building a creative brand.
The activities continue at Promenada Mall Bucharest within Creative Lab Sessions, an applied experience in which participants explore the development of a retail concept, visual storytelling and the process of creating a fashion product in a real market context. The entire Creative Lab Sessions experience is supported by NEPI Rockcastle and Promenada Mall Bucharest.
The day’s program ends with Next Generation Party powered by IQOS, a moment dedicated to the emerging creative community, designers, students, visual artists and content creators, in an informal space that brings together education, industry and the public.
Romanian designers
Starting March 25, the main stage of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week returns to the Throne Hall of the National Museum of Art of Romania, where the public will discover the Fall Winter 2026/27 collections of Romanian designers who today define the contemporary identity of local fashion.
During the three days of presentations on the main stage the following will show: Alexandra Șipa, Carmen Secăreanu, Dualitae, M. Marquise, Medeea, Murmur, Rafaela Pestrițu, Rhea Costa, Vestiaire D’un Oiseau Libre (VOL), each proposing a distinct perspective on contemporary design, from architectural minimalism and experimental construction to modern couture and conceptual explorations of the silhouette. A moment dedicated to new voices in fashion is Fresh Blood Runway, a show that brings to the runway the collections of emerging brands Elite Concept and Ionuț Răzvan.
The program is completed by three presentations held on private stages: Ami Amalia and Almaz will present their new collections in dedicated shows, while Maria Lucia Hohan will present the collection in a static format.
The FW26/27 edition also marks the debut of the partnership with Kultho, presenting INDULGENT LUXURY BY KULTHO – A Diamond Affair, a premiere for Eastern Europe, the first runway show dedicated exclusively to jewelry. Signed by Kultho, the leader of the premium watches and jewelry retail market in Romania, the show highlights artisanal craftsmanship and the brilliance of diamonds through creations from international houses in the Kultho portfolio such as Roberto Coin, NANIS, Marco Bicego and Pasquale Bruni, alongside selections from the brand’s own luxury jewelry collection.
International designers
The FW26/27 edition also brings to the runway a selection of designers from Central and Eastern Europe, strengthening the regional dimension of the event.
From Poland, designer Diana Milkanova returns with a collection exploring the relationship between form and contemporary artistic expression. The design scene from Ukraine is represented by the brands GUDU, J’amemme and TTSWTRS, known for their experimental approaches. From Hungary, the brand NUBU steps onto the runway for the first time in a show organized in partnership with Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), strengthening the collaboration between the two platforms. A special moment of the program is Moldovan Brands Collective Runway, which brings to the runway three brands representative of the new generation of design from the Republic of Moldova: Katea Gri, OK KINO and Storojuc.
Also on the Main Stage will be presented the static exhibition Proenza Schouler, curated by Appartere, a special project that brings contemporary international fashion into dialogue with the local creative scene.

The program of this spring edition introduces a series of new formats that extend the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week experience beyond runway presentations.
Archive Sale is one of the new concepts introduced in the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week program this season. Designed as a meeting point between runway presentations, Influencer House is the place where guests and creators prepare their appearances between shows.
On March 27, after the runway presentations end, the program continues at Corinthia Hotel Bucharest with the MBBFW Showroom, a space dedicated to the meeting between designers and the international retail industry, where collections are presented in a professional setting for buyers and industry partners. Among the retailers and platforms present are Galeries Lafayette, Liberty London, Hankyu Department Store, Tomorrow Ltd, Baycrews, Depareille, Angels of Fashion, DANTE 5, alongside regional concept stores and partners such as Firis Store, Studio Zeta, Suits Antonia and ECHO Mykonos.
Continuing the tradition of previous editions, Networking Dinner by Glenfiddich, organized at LOFT, is dedicated to meetings between industry professionals. The event brings together designers, press representatives, buyers, content creators and guests of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week in an informal setting that encourages dialogue and the strengthening of relationships within the fashion community.
After Party MBBFW x IQOS curated by The Brunch Affair
On March 28, Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week will conclude with a special party created in partnership with IQOS and curated by The Brunch Affair. Conceived as a moment of celebration for the entire week dedicated to fashion, the event will bring together the creative community in a vibrant setting where style, music and the energy of the city meet in a memorable atmosphere.
The partnership between IQOS and Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week is built around a shared vision of creativity, innovation and cultural evolution. It represents the meeting point of creative minds that challenge conventions and contribute to defining new standards. The collaboration reflects the dialogue between two universes that share the same desire for change and the ability to transform challenges into new forms of expression and progress.
