PLAYFUL PROPORTIONS

As expected in the 2025 trend predictions, asymmetrical silhouettes and architectural cuts are becoming increasingly prominent in the fashion landscape. Searches for “barrel pants” on Zalando increased by 515%, while interest in “shoulder pads” rose by 80%. Additionally, searches for “voluminous jackets” climbed by 100%, making these oversized styles a dominant presence on the streets.

Puffed-hem skirts and dresses with voluminous details were everywhere, and the aesthetic can be embraced in various ways: either through an oversized Holzweiler puffer jacket paired with black tights and classic By Malene Birger boots, or a bold Cult Gaia dress with puffed shoulders and sleeves. The secret? A monochrome look and minimalist accessories that let the silhouette take center stage.

THE MOCHA MUSE

This shade lives up to its name. After taking the internet by storm earlier this year, it’s now making its presence felt. The trick to wearing it stylishly? Monochrome, just as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley does and as other fashion week attendees have demonstrated.

Searches for “chocolate brown” increased by 682%, while those for “mocha” rose by 290% on Zalando. Oversized sweaters layered over sheer skirts and VSP-inspired patent leather trench coats dominated the outfits. The perfect accessories for this trend? Large ’80s-style earrings, a Massimo Dutti leather tote bag, and Marco Tozzi brown boots.

ALL ABOUT TEXTURES

Faux fur, fringe, and plush textures were the stars of the week. Searches for “Penny Lane coat” increased by 817%, while those for “faux fur” skyrocketed by 2130%. This trend doesn’t go unnoticed—it’s dramatic and commanding.

Models and influencers wore long and short faux fur coats over double denim outfits, fitted mini dresses, or crop tops paired with wide-leg black pants. Additionally, Alice + Olivia’s jewel-embellished jeans perfectly complemented this extravagant and tactile trend.

TECH SPORT

Cardigan sweaters layered over button-up shirts or Ivy League-inspired combinations, like the varsity jacket worn by Alana Hadid over a jumpsuit, were must-haves. Tweed jackets (shackets) were styled with relaxed shirts and belted chinos, while for an authentic preppy look, high socks and berets—searches for which increased by 270%—were the go-to accessories for the most refined lovers of this style.
