Bucharest, October 20, 2025 – Bogdan Putinică, one of the best-known Romanian leaders in technology, is taking over the leadership of the global agentic AI company Wonderful as Executive General Manager in 29 countries in Central, South-Eastern Europe and CIS. From his new role, he will coordinate the accelerated expansion of the company and the adoption of AI technology in the customer service operations market, estimated at 1% of GDP internationally.
Bogdan takes on the new role after completing his mandate as General Manager of Microsoft in the EURA region, where he coordinated digital transformation projects in 17 countries across Europe and Asia. With this new position, Bogdan returns to a proven model of building entrepreneurial-type companies, where vision and growth speed will be the coordinates of development.
“This chapter is both new and familiar to me. New, because AI technology has entered a decisive phase; it is no longer just a detailed vision on slides, but a driver of growth and transformation. Familiar, because I have always enjoyed building from scratch teams, ecosystems, and ideas that have a significant impact. At Wonderful, we are doing exactly that: we are redefining how organizations interact with customers through advanced AI agents that understand language, intent, and emotions on any channel, in any market. With the right technology, what used to be customer service becomes customer insights, a faster, more human experience, available in all languages. The potential of this region is exceptional. A true mosaic of fast-growing economies, world-class engineering talent, and bold digital ambitions. From Warsaw to Bucharest, from Athens to Tashkent, I see markets ready not only to adopt AI but to innovate responsibly. AI can accelerate productivity, unlock new revenue streams, and reshape how organizations serve their employees and customers, at scale and with a clear purpose,” said Bogdan Putinică, Executive General Manager, Wonderful, Central, South-Eastern Europe and CIS.
As the global customer service industry records annual costs of billions of euros, adoption of conversational AI technology is growing rapidly. With a multilingual platform of AI agents that handle natural language interactions, including in natural Romanian, the technology developed by Wonderful has already been implemented by international corporations, solving latency, accuracy, and trust issues at an unprecedented level. The technology listens, learns, delivers, and brings major growth potential for companies with intensive customer service operations, through solid, flexible automation, fully compliant with GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, SOC2, and NIS2.
AI agents handle voice interactions in natural local languages, via voice, chat, and email for customer service activities. The results translate into better customer service, reduced waiting times, and an improved NPS score. Uniquely, the company also uses local on-the-ground teams in each country to ensure the best local implementation and flawless delivery.
Through accelerated expansion in the regions of Central, South-Eastern Europe and CIS, Wonderful addresses companies in industries such as telecom, utilities and energy, healthcare, retail, banking and insurance, with intensive customer relations operations and facing increasingly demanding SLAs, complex integrations, and high call volumes in fragmented support systems.
Bogdan Putinică founded in 2000 the software company IP Devel, one of the fastest-rising technology start-ups in Romania, which went through two major transactions, being acquired by Adecco IT through the takeover of a share package in 2006 and, entirely, by the Swedish software and services group Enea in 2008. He then held top executive management positions within Enea, and in 2021 he took over the role of Country General Manager of Microsoft Romania, coordinating digital transformation projects at national level, including the adoption of artificial intelligence solutions and the implementation of the government cloud. Bogdan has extensive expertise in multiple business areas, being recognized for his ability to build teams, innovate, and deliver results in dynamic and complex markets.
The regions coordinated by Bogdan include 29 countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, the Baltic States, Romania, Greece, the Adriatic countries, Moldova, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and others.
