Intelligent, stylish, comfortable on the road to the next adventure but equally at home in everyday life. In short, a true Mercedes-Benz: this is the new Marco Polo. Because the details matter: the new Marco Polo is more welcoming than ever
The new Marco Polo enhances comfort through new and intelligent details in the living area. Updates include, among others:
Improved living and sleeping concept: The new retractable roof is made from a robust and lightweight double aluminium casing. In addition to remarkable stability, it now offers an extra 10 cm of interior height when the rear extension is raised to its maximum level. This significantly increases the comfort of the living and sleeping experience.
New lighting concept: The LED ambient lighting in the retractable roof provides different lighting scenarios, selectable by the user from cool and energising light to warm and comfortable tones, depending on the travellers’ preferences.
From the end of the year, a new sliding roof and, for the first time, a panoramic opening in the textile material of the retractable roof will bring even more natural light and fresh air to the interior. At night, these offer an unobstructed view of the starry sky.
New awning concept: The completely redesigned lateral awning now allows total flexibility when fitting and removing it. This is very practical, for example, at a car wash. The crank for manually raising and lowering the awning is cleverly stored in the awning holder to save space.
New blind system: For restful nights and daytime privacy, the new solutions can be magnetically attached around the cockpit in just a few simple steps.
Infotainment at a higher level: The new Marco Polo also offers a significantly improved acoustic experience. The new audio system, specially adapted for this model, includes eight speakers and a subwoofer, delivering clear and rich sound, both on the road and while camping. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, playback is possible even when the infotainment system is switched off.
Even smarter connectivity than before: Since 2019, the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control system, MBAC, has transformed Marco Polo into a smart home. It has now been further developed and received new functions. For example, the LED ambient lighting in the retractable roof and the updated audio system can now be centrally controlled via the MBUX display, or through the MBAC smartphone app.
Further optimisations: Improved folding tables, optimised drawer slides, a redesigned bench seat control panel and a more energy-efficient cool box deliver added comfort.
Mercedes-Benz down to the finest detail: the new Marco Polo from the Mercedes-Benz Vans plant in Ludwigsfelde
The latest update marks an important moment in the history of the Marco Polo model. With it, Mercedes-Benz will rely entirely on in-house production: as before, the V-Class base vehicle will be produced at the Mercedes-Benz Vans plant in Vitoria, Spain. The vehicle will subsequently be converted into the Marco Polo at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Ludwigsfelde, Germany. By integrating the conversion into the Mercedes-Benz Vans own production network, the company ensures the highest quality standards. The closer interconnection of processes also creates potential for greater flexibility and faster delivery times.
