In 2023, adidas Running reimagined the Supernova family with a focus on comfort and stability. In 2024, the portfolio expands with the introduction of Supernova Prima – a brand-new model launching in the Preloved Scarlett/Solar Red colorway. It features more DREAMSTRIKE+ super foam than any other adidas running shoe to date, inspired by – and built for – the most motivated everyday runners.

Equipped with adidas’ comfort-driven technology and distinct design details, Supernova Prima contains 13% more DREAMSTRIKE+ foam than the Supernova Rise. First introduced in the award-winning Supernova Rise launched last year and inspired by LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam used in the record-breaking Adizero family, this additional DREAMSTRIKE+ foam offers runners unparalleled comfort during their daily runs. The extra 4 mm of foam is specifically concentrated under the arch of the sole, enhancing Prima’s cushioning from heel to toe.

The midsole with increased cushioning also works in tandem with the new innovative LIGHTTRAXION outsole – ergonomically designed to complement the midfoot and forefoot – keeping the shoe lightweight while maintaining strong grip. The outsole is complemented by wider support rods, which are slightly firmer than those used in the Rise model, ensuring a more supported landing for the forefoot.

The rear part combines foam with soft textile material, working together to secure and provide comfortable heel support. The heel construction works in unison with the mesh upper, ensuring breathability and a comfortable, secure fit throughout the run.

The new Supernova Prima comes in the Preloved Scarlett colorway for women, with Purple Burst details, and Solar Red with Pulse Lime accents for men.
