Brought together in the 2025 Trend Rewind, we present the top European trends based on Zalando’s own data.

Mocha Mousse
No color appeared more often this year than mocha mousse. Seen on runways, in our app and even in our offices, mocha mousse was not only Pantone’s Color of the Year but also a favorite among our customers. It recorded an increase of over 5,000% in searches, with its peak already in January. Still, mocha mousse was more than a color, it was a reminder of “life’s small pleasures”: slow mornings, warm coffee and simple indulgences, a warm, balanced and deeply human aesthetic.
Beauty devices
Sheet masks and jade rollers have taken a back seat, because in 2025 beauty devices became the new status symbol: sleek, LED-lit and smarter than ever. From AI-powered skin scanners to microcurrent tools and at-home laser hair removal devices, these gadgets turned customers’ bathrooms into mini-spas, with peak interest in October, just in time for the cozy season.

Butter Yellow
Butter yellow was already one of last year’s standout shades, and after a quieter winter phase, it made a spectacular return in spring, reminding us why we fell in love with it in the first place. It reached its peak in May, and the trend continued throughout the year, fueled in part by a certain megastar and her incredibly stylish autumn looks in this cozy hue. One thing is certain: wearing butter yellow gives you main-character energy, even if your job doesn’t involve filling stadiums.
Bag embellishments
Already one of the biggest 2024 trends, bag charms kept their star power in 2025, without missing a beat. From monster-shaped charms and colorful keychains to elegant metallic accents in silver or gold and silk scarves tied chic around the handle, 2025 was about self-expression and transforming a favorite handbag into a truly personalized accessory. The peak month of interest was August.

Boho Chic
Boho Chic made a spectacular comeback in 2025. And no, it’s not the dusty festival look you might imagine in April, when the trend peaked, festival season hadn’t even begun. What started centuries ago in French bohemian communities has evolved into a smarter, more refined form of rebellion. The 2025 version borrows the spirit of the ’70s, the confidence of the 2000s and the social awareness of Gen Z. Jewelry became more subtle, styling more effortless, and individuality the most precious luxury.
