Zalando, the most important European fashion and lifestyle platform, announces a local partnership with the DIPLOMA Show Festival, the largest festival dedicated to the new generation of artists, architects and designers. Together, the two brands bring to the forefront the power of personal style and local creativity, turning it into a true stage for free expression.
Through this partnership, Zalando celebrates the energy of voices in Romanian fashion, inspiring style enthusiasts to be authentic, to express their personality and to trust their own style.
At the heart of this collaboration is the style competition “Be the Main Character”, an open invitation at national level for all fashion enthusiasts in Romania. Participants are challenged to step into the spotlight and share on the Instagram platform their autumn outfits that make them feel like the stars of their own story. The authors of the most original and bold looks, selected by a jury made up of Alina Gavrilă Borțun (Creative Director Gavrilă&Asociații and Gavrilă Fashion Tellers), Kayla Parker (Style Creator Programme Manager, Zalando) and Dana Rogoz (Actress and Content Creator), will be rewarded with exclusive prizes, including an invitation to join the Zalando Style Creator Program and Zalando vouchers.

The “Be the Main Character” competition is addressed to all persons over 18 who live in Romania.
