Three immersive shows by MINA, starting July 5 in Galați
Press Release
Starting July 5, the masterpieces of one of the world’s most beloved artists come to life in an impressive digital show, projected at architectural scale.
“Van Gogh: The Immersive Show” opens the series of three productions presented for the first time in Galați by MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art, the first immersive museum in Romania, known for its shows that blend art with technology.

MINA Pop-Up Galați is a project co-financed by the Galați City Hall and hosted by Shopping City Galați.
The temporary space includes a 450 sqm dome with 360° projections, set up in the mall’s parking lot (Bd. George Coșbuc no. 251) and will be open to the public between July 5 and November 2, 2025.
The most anticipated of the three is Van Gogh: The Immersive Show, a visual and emotional experience that turns painting into movement, supported by George. Inovație BCR.
Audiences will also be able to explore, in parallel:
Underwater World – An Immersive Water Journey, an educational show for the whole family, presented with the support of Kaufland Romania, and
Inner Constellations, an animated exhibition imagined by artist Alexandru Nimurad.

In less than two years, MINA spaces have been visited by over 600,000 people, becoming a landmark in Romania’s art and technology scene.
In 2024, MINA received the Red Dot Design Award for its visual identity.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Show
Inspired by the correspondence between Vincent van Gogh and his brother Theo, the show offers an immersive journey into the artist’s inner world.
Iconic works such as Starry Night, Sunflowers, and Self-Portrait with Straw Hat are digitally animated and projected at architectural scale, in a visual performance that transforms painting into movement.
The production is created by the award-winning studio Les Ateliers Nomad, in collaboration with MINA Studios, and features an original soundtrack composed by Alexei Țurcan.

Underwater World – An Immersive Water Journey
This educational show follows the path of water from the Danube Delta to the depths of the Planetary Ocean.
Audiences will discover spectacular ecosystems and species from Romanian waters – such as sturgeon, beluga, or dolphins – as well as marine life like turtles, whales, or coral reefs.
The audio guide explains essential topics in accessible language, such as the water cycle, ecological balance, and the impact of pollution.
The show lasts approximately 20 minutes and is recommended for the entire family.

Inner Constellations – An Illustrated Universe by Alexandru Nimurad
A visual essay composed of 21 animated illustrations by Alexandru Nimurad, with animations by Noetic Studio and original music by Ștefan Andrei Ștefanovici.
The exhibition offers a poetic reflection on the relationship between humanity, emotion, and the cosmos.
