Exhibitions
Within Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week 2025, the exhibition program brings together a series of distinct curatorial projects that explore, through diverse forms of artistic expression, the dialogue between fashion, culture, and identity.
“Brâncuși and the Muses of Dance”
The opening of the “Brâncuși and the Muses of Dance” exhibition will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 16:00, in the Hall of Mirrors of the National Museum of Art of Romania, within Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week 2025.
The exhibition will be open to the public between October 15–19, 2025, and represents an initiative of the National Institute of Heritage, conceived as a contemporary dialogue between heritage, dance, and fashion. The project starts from the collaboration between Constantin Brâncuși and avant-garde dancer Lizica Codreanu, bringing back to the public’s attention a lesser-known side of Brâncuși’s creation namely, the costumes designed by the sculptor for Lizica’s choreographic performances. The installation, created in an immersive and educational format, captures Brâncuși’s legacy in dialogue with contemporary art and today’s creative industries.
The approach aligns naturally with the theme of the NEXT GENERATION-Fashion Talent Award competition within MBBFW, “Cultural Heritage in Fashion: A Bridge Between Tradition and Innovation,” which encourages the valorization of tradition and cultural identity through contemporary and sustainable means.
Exhibition – MRACONIA | BY BALKAN
In this edition, Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week continues the dialogue between fashion and art through the MRACONIA | BY BALKAN exhibition, hosted at CINA (Str. Benjamin Franklin 10). The opening will take place on October 15, at 18:00, and the exhibition will be open to the general public between October 16-19, from 16:00 to 21:00. Curated by Stefan Dragic and Vasilis Marlantis, the exhibition brings together works by artists such as Aurel Contras, Lucian Pruna, and Korina Gallika, exploring, from a contemporary perspective, the connection between Balkan identity, memory, and visual expression.
