From March 27 to 30, the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week for Spring 2025, Romania’s most important fashion event, is set to transform the center of Bucharest into a vibrant runway with global echoes, now in its second edition.
This year, the event continues to focus on three central pillars: fashion, education, and sustainability. Conferences and workshops dedicated to sustainability will bring together experts and professionals from the industry to explore the future of responsible fashion. The educational events at this edition of Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week are made possible with the support of Polimoda – one of the world’s most prestigious fashion and design schools.
Bucharest Fashion Week connects designers, buyers, publications, media, and universities to support fashion in Romania and the region. The event brings together brands, local designers, and potential international buyers, promoting “Made in Romania” on the global stage. Eight international magazines from five countries and over 40 buyers and showrooms have confirmed their participation, alongside designers from Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, and Italy, as well as stylists, influencers, and photographers from four countries.

Strategic Partnership with the Ministry of Culture & Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week
Starting with this edition, Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week benefits from the support of the Ministry of Culture, joining the event as a strategic partner. This is an important step in supporting and officially recognizing initiatives in the creative industries, as well as a reconfirmation of the values shared by contemporary fashion and cultural heritage. Thanks to this partnership, the event once again takes place in the emblematic spaces of the National Museum of Art of Romania – the Throne Hall, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Royal Dining Room – thus strengthening the link between current artistic expression and some of Romania’s most representative cultural symbols.
Additionally, Italian institutions – the Italian Embassy in Bucharest, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the partner association Confindustria Romania, reaffirm their support for Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, which contributes to strengthening cultural and economic relations between Italy and Romania. In a sign of continuity and appreciation for this partnership, the spring edition begins on March 27 with an exclusive event: the Opening Party Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, hosted at the prestigious Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Bucharest. The presence of this event in such a symbolic setting reflects the joint commitment to support contemporary artistic expressions, encourage intercultural dialogue, and support the training of new generations of professionals in the creative industries, also thanks to the exchange of expertise with Italian professionals.
On this occasion, thanks to the collaboration with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), Italian designer Tiziano Guardini will dress the dancers of the Bucharest Opera with his creations, who will perform a special show during the evening. Moreover, this initiative is one of those promoted by CNMI following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the promotion of Italian fashion abroad, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other industry associations earlier this year.

The key event of this edition will be the NEXT Generation conference on March 27, during which the official theme of the 2025 Fashion Talent Award competition will be announced, and the main directions of the program will be presented.
