Market launch of the GLB 250+ models with EQ technology (preliminary data: combined energy consumption: 18.3–15.8 kWh/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 0 g/km | CO₂ class: A)¹ and GLB 350 4MATIC with EQ technology (preliminary data: combined energy consumption: 18.6-15.9 kWh/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 0 g/km | CO₂ class: A) will begin in spring 2026. With a range of up to 631 kilometres (WLTP)¹, the 200 kW GLB 250+ model offers unparalleled performance in its segment. The sporty top model is the 260 kW GLB 350 4MATIC. Both models are equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of 85 kWh. Thanks to the ultra-modern 800-volt electric architecture, up to 260 kilometres of range (WLTP)² can be added in just ten minutes. The model range will soon be expanded with additional fully electric variants, including an entry-level model and high-tech hybrids.

Spacious: the versatile everyday hero creates extra room for spontaneity and offers more than simple functionality
Flexible: room for family, friends and spontaneous plans
The new GLB is available as a five- or seven-seater. Those who choose the version with two additional seats in the third row can go to the next league match with the whole tennis team or pick up the neighbours’ children to take them to the school festival. Even last-minute changes of plan do not catch GLB drivers off guard thanks to the longitudinally adjustable bench seat in the second row, there is room even for plants from the garden centre, moving boxes for a good friend or that lucky find from the antiques market.
Spacious: freedom of movement and generous luggage space
Compared with its predecessor, the new electric GLB offers a noticeable increase in headroom for the first two rows of seats. This is due to the roofline as well as the panoramic roof, which is standard. Rear passengers also benefit from more legroom. Seat comfort in the second row has been significantly improved, including by extending the thigh support area.
And for the family holiday, parents no longer need to juggle luggage. With 127 litres (104 L according to ISO 3832), the model has the largest front trunk (“frunk”) in the new model family enough space for a crate of drinks, three footballs or a compact tent. The rear luggage compartment offers a capacity of up to 540/470 litres (five/seven seats), and with the rear seatbacks folded down, the volume increases to 1,715/1,605 litres.
Adventurous: ready for journeys beyond daily routine
An idyllic campsite in a meadow? A relaxed barbecue evening with friends in a cabin at the edge of the forest? The most interesting destinations are often off the beaten path. No problem for the 4MATIC versions when traction is needed, the electric motor on the front axle intervenes instantly. The 4MATIC models are also equipped with TERRAIN MODE, a driving program for fields and gravel roads that adjusts the characteristics of the powertrain, steering and brakes to support the driver.
The “Transparent Bonnet” function provides a virtual view under the entire vehicle, making manoeuvring on rough terrain easier. Towing capacity is up to two tonnes – a top value for BEVs in this category. Thus, the electric GLB models can easily tow large caravans. Thanks to the high vertical load of 100 kilograms, e-bikes can be carried effortlessly on weekend getaways or holidays.

Effortless: the perfect everyday companion makes family outings safer, more comfortable and stress-free
Safe: predictive technology for a high level of protection
The new GLB is equipped with a comprehensive range of driver assistance systems, including DISTRONIC distance control, offered as standard in Europe. Hardware in this region includes eight cameras, five radar sensors, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a high-performance water-cooled computer with sufficient power reserves for future functions and over-the-air updates. Mercedes-Benz now groups all assistance systems under the name MB.DRIVE. Many Extra Digital³ services will be available right from market launch or can be ordered via the Mercedes-Benz Store. Other Extra Digital services can also be activated later via updates.
Suitable for long distances: covers extended routes without stopping
From Cologne to Berlin; from Rome to Venice; from Lyon to Strasbourg there are numerous European cities located around 600 kilometres apart. The same applies in China, where Xi’an and Zhengzhou are separated by a comparable distance, and in the USA, where a similar journey would be between Denver and Salt Lake City. All these routes can be driven without a stop thanks to the 631-kilometre range (WLTP)⁴ of the GLB 250+.
Time-efficient: ready for the next stage in just a few minutes
To go even further, the vehicle can be recharged quickly: the 800-volt system, in combination with the new generation of batteries, ensures short charging times. The GLB can be charged for a range of up to 260 kilometres (WLTP) in just 10 minutes⁵. DC fast charging is possible at 800-volt stations, with a charging capacity of up to 320 kW. However, the GLB can also use 400-volt charging infrastructure. A DC converter is available as an option. AC charging capacity is up to 22 kW.
Comfortable: dynamic suspension for relaxed journeys or driving pleasure
The suspension with adaptive damping, offered as standard in combination with 20-inch wheels, ensures a particularly comfortable or, alternatively, sporty driving experience. The DYNAMIC SELECT switch can be used to change the vehicle’s damping characteristics. There is a choice between Comfort mode, with a softer setting for greater comfort, and Sport mode, with a firm, sporty set-up.
Child-friendly: plenty of space and four mounting points for child seats
Few vehicles in this class allow more than two child seats to be installed on the rear bench seat. The new GLB is designed with families in mind a total of four child seats can be mounted on the second and third rows, plus another one on the front passenger seat.
Open to technology: hybrid with three power levels
A few months after market launch, the new GLB will be available as an electric entry model as well as a high-tech hybrid with 48-volt technology and an electric motor integrated into the transmission. The ultra-modern combustion engine will initially be available in three power levels. The hybrid GLB models will be able to run in all-electric mode and will recuperate energy under certain conditions. Customers will be able to choose between front-wheel drive and 4MATIC.
Impressive: a bold presence thanks to the new design
Impressive: powerful proportions and iconic light accents
Robust SUV proportions with an upright front end and steep windscreen, as well as short overhangs, define the side profile. Wheel-arch cladding and visual underride protection elements at the front and rear emphasise the off-road character. The wide track and flush-mounted wheels, together with the vehicle’s strong shoulders, give the GLB a powerful presence. A total of 94 individually animated LED stars with a chrome look form the core element of the iconic front grille. Depending on country-specific regulations, the central star can be fully or partially illuminated. One of the few visual distinguishing features of the hybrid GLB version is the classic front grille with Mercedes-Benz pattern in chrome, framed by a standard LED light guide.
Spectacular views: generous panoramic roof for unrestricted visibility
The large panoramic roof, offered as standard, creates an impression of open, airy space. In a matter of milliseconds, the glass surface of the optional SKY CONTROL⁶ panoramic roof can be switched from transparent for an unobstructed view of the sky – to opaque for greater privacy (optional equipment). The GLB offers a unique visual experience, especially at night, when the 158 stars are illuminated.
Modern: high-tech design and ergonomic controls
The new interior design principle focuses on a few iconic high-tech elements, such as the optional MBUX Superscreen, which appears to float. Behind its glass surface are a 26 cm (10.25-inch) driver display, a 35.6 cm (14-inch) central display and a 35.6 cm (14-inch) front passenger screen. Another eye-catcher is the sporty centre console, positioned higher and with a floating appearance, which includes additional storage space. The new steering wheel is ergonomically designed and intuitive to use. In response to numerous customer requests, Mercedes-Benz has reintroduced a rocker switch for the limiter and DISTRONIC, as well as a roller for volume control.
Individual: unique ambient styles and a wide range of options
With the Progressive Line, AMG Line and AMG Line Plus equipment lines, as well as the Night Package and additional options, the GLB can be configured in a multitude of variants to suit customer preferences. There is also a wide selection of trim elements and interior materials. Another personalisation option is the choice of 11 ambient styles for the MBUX Superscreen, allowing a personalised atmosphere to be created inside. The colour scheme of the instrument cluster – including indicators, controls and ambient lighting – is harmonised with these expressive visual themes.
Intuitive: a new world of complete digital experiences with MBUX and MB.OS technology
Kept up to date for years and always ready for new functions: regular over-the-air updates
The new GLB is the first vehicle to run entirely on the in-house developed operating system, Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). The new AI-optimised system allows each model to be equipped with supercomputers connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud. This makes regular over-the-air updates possible for key vehicle functions, including driver assistance systems. As a result, the GLB remains up to date and attractive for many years.
On the way to a hyper-personalised digital experience: fourth-generation MBUX
MB.OS marks the debut of the fourth generation of MBUX. It opens up a new world of personalised experiences and intuitive interaction between human and vehicle, setting new standards in the automotive industry. The new generation of MBUX is the first infotainment system in a car to combine AI intelligence from Microsoft and Google. For the first time, multiple AI agents are brought together in a single system. MB.OS offers maximum flexibility for the seamless integration of third-party content. The typical Mercedes interface is retained, ensuring a familiar customer experience.
Exceptionally intuitive and personal: the new MBUX UI/UX concept
The MBUX Superscreen is powered by latest-generation high-performance chips and real-time graphics from the Unity Game Engine. The new display and control concept is tailored to customers’ individual preferences. The enhanced version of MBUX Zero Layer on the central display shows essential information, suggestions and, for the first time, the most recently used apps. In the app view, apps can be moved and grouped into custom folders, similar to a smartphone. When an app is open, a simple swipe to the left takes the user back to the app view. Another swipe returns them to the Zero Layer. Alternatively, Zero Layer can be accessed at any time by pressing the Home button.
Intelligent, approachable and empathetic like a friend: the new MBUX Virtual Assistant
With the help of generative artificial intelligence, the new MBUX Virtual Assistant revolutionises the relationship between vehicle and driver. It enables complex, multi-step dialogues similar to those you would have with a friend and has short-term memory. Based on ChatGPT-4o and search via Microsoft Bing, it brings together the collective knowledge of the internet. Thanks to Google Gemini, the virtual assistant can also answer navigation-related questions competently, accessing information from the Google Maps platform to provide detailed, personalised answers about routes, points of interest and more.
The MBUX Virtual Assistant is permanently present in the Zero Layer as a “living” avatar.
Smart, trustworthy navigation: based on Google Maps
In the new GLB, the navigation experience is built on Google Maps⁷. The navigation solution developed as part of the partnership between Google and Mercedes-Benz is one of the first integrations of Google Cloud’s new Automotive AI Agent for in-car conversational services, together with Google Maps. Mercedes-Benz Navigation with Electric Intelligence plans the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stops, based on a large number of factors. Integrated visual communication also reaches a new level thanks to MBUX Surround Navigation, which seamlessly combines driver assistance system views with a 3D representation of the surroundings and real-time navigation instructions on the driver display. Drivers benefit from enhanced situation awareness, being able to see what the GLB “sees” and how the assistance systems support them.
