“The Invisibles”, the most anticipated Romanian musical of the autumn, has its official premiere on November 9 at Sala Palatului

On November 9, Sala Palatului in Bucharest becomes the stage of an original Romanian musical theater production: “The Invisibles,” a Wonder Theater production with music and lyrics by Cornel Ilie (VUNK). The audience will witness an emotional story about courage, imagination, and friendship, told through live music, dance, and acting.

“The Invisibles” brings to the stage a team of actors, singers, and dancers who bring the universe of the musical to life: Miruna Ungureanu, Adrian Nour, Ecaterina Ladin, Filip Munteanu, Mihai Cheregi, Theodor Andrei, Anastasia Sandu, Ioana Bulgaru, Adina Kish, Jennifer Dumitrașcu, Tomy Weissbuch, Mara Caraivan, Alyn Arhire, and Elena Boncea.
Together, the performers combine acting, music, and dance, creating a show full of energy and emotion, which aims to transport the audience into the universe of Laura, the little girl who didn’t know how to read, and the invisible world she discovers.

“I wrote the music and lyrics inspired by Laura’s story, from the desire that every spectator should feel her emotions: courage, fear, joy, and the discovery of the world. Each song is a window into the heart of the characters and the invisible world we all imagine.” Cornel Ilie (VUNK), composer and lyricist for “The Invisibles”

About the musical
“The Invisibles” is inspired by Ioana Pârvulescu’s book and tells the story of Laura, an almost eight-year-old girl who does not know how to read but has a huge imagination. In her universe, her classmates “disappear into books” and become invisible. Laura embarks on a captivating adventure through literary and digital worlds, discovering that true magic lies in stories, courage, and friendship.
The show “The Invisibles” combines theater, live music, and dance, offering the audience a complete experience, suitable for all ages, and marks an important stage in the development of Romanian musical theater. It is a show about emotion, courage, and imagination, about the power of stories and friendship, which makes the invisible visible.

Creative team and production
The direction and script of the musical are signed by Claudia Ciobanu, who has created a visual and emotional universe in which every detail counts. Based on a book by Ioana Pârvulescu, the show comes to life through the music and lyrics composed by Cornel Ilie (VUNK), while Cezara Blioju, the production’s choreographer, transforms movement into an expressive language for each character.

Musical director and vocal coach Ioana Sihota worked with the entire cast to harmonize the music with the emotion conveyed on stage.
The scenography created by Oana Novicov and the costumes signed by Monica Florescu and Oana Drăghici, complemented by the make-up & hair team (Alina Bedeleanu, Cristina Drăgușin, Bianca Perja), shape the world in which the characters come to life, while art director Emanuel Boncea contributes to creating the show’s visual atmosphere.
The projections and video graphics are by Cinématique / Alexandru Boncea / Manuela Marcovici, and the live video is created by Cezar Șomâtcă. The stage experience is completed by the light design created by Daniel Klinger and Ioan Valentin Vasilescu, while the technical and sound team (Paradigma / Tudor Bâlcu / Valentina Sandu) ensures audio and technical quality.

The entire show is supported by a production team consisting of: production director Mircea Marinescu, assistant director / technical direction / executive producer Evelina Siminică, and producers Mirabela Vlad, Valentin Savu, Karina Moldovan, and Andrei Boncea, while PR & Marketing is coordinated by Andreea Oroz Munteanu, and social media by Andreea Bîtcă. Without their collective effort, the story would have remained only in the pages of the book.
