Wonderful, the global agentic AI platform, is entering the Romanian market and appoints Lucia Stoicescu as Country Manager. The opening of the local office is part of the strategy of accelerated international expansion, following a 34 million dollar funding that Wonderful obtained in July of this year, in a Seed round led by Index Ventures.
The funding was also supported by Bessemer Venture Partners and Vine Ventures, some of the most prestigious international funds, with assets of over 20 billion dollars.
The company has developed a multilingual platform of AI agents that manages voice interactions and in natural Romanian, in addition to 22 other European languages, through voice, chat and e-mail for call center activities. Uniquely, the company uses a high-performance AI platform and local on-the-ground teams in each country, to achieve the best local implementation and flawless delivery.

Lucia Stoicescu has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, mainly within software services companies with expertise in fintech, telecommunications and medtech, in top management positions, the most recent role being CEO of the Romanian software company mindit.io. Lucia is a Harvard GMP Alumni, also holds an MBA from UQAM, Université du Québec, as well as a master’s degree in web programming from the University of Bucharest. Previously, she graduated from the University of Mathematics and Informatics in Craiova. Lucia believes in authentic leadership and is dedicated to building high-performing teams and promoting ethical artificial intelligence and responsible innovation.
Her professional expertise covers areas such as operations, IT project management, telecom and process management, risk management and process improvement.
