Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: everything we know so far about the new FE phone from Samsung

Samsung’s Galaxy FE series has recently struggled to justify its existence. The basic concept of these phones is to offer more features than the more affordable A series and to be cheaper than the main Galaxy line.

This is the position in which the future Galaxy S24 FE finds itself. It has a lot to prove in order to become attractive to customers. And, while rumors are starting to emerge, we expect to hear many more details in the coming months about how this device will manage to find the perfect balance between price and performance

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: Expected Release Date and Price Release Date Currently, we do not have much information about the release date of the Galaxy S24 FE. However, there are indications that we will not see it in the next few months. Typically, we expect an FE version of a Galaxy phone to appear within a year, but a recent post from Galaxy Club in the Netherlands suggests that we may not see the phone until the fall of 2024, at the earliest, perhaps even until early 2025.Speculated Price Pricing is another uncertainty for Samsung. Recently, there has been a drop in prices for flagship phones, which complicates pricing for the FE model, especially if Samsung wants to compete with the highly rated Galaxy A55.

Design and Specific Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Design So far, the device seems to have a layout with three cameras and a screen enlarged to 6.5 inches, making it larger than the basic Galaxy S24. It appears that the phone will come with a USB-C port and will measure approximately 162 x 77.3 x 8 mm, slightly larger than the Galaxy S23 FE, which measures 158 x 76.5 x 8.2 mm.

Performance “The word has it” that the Galaxy S24 FE could come with the same processor as the flagship Galaxy S24. This would mean a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in North America and an Exynos 2400 in other regions. It would be the first time Samsung would use the same chip for an FE model as for the main series. However, we do not know if the phone will have access to the same AI Galaxy features as the main series.

At present, we do not know exactly what hardware will come with the phone, but it is speculated that the Galaxy S24 FE could come with 12 GB of RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. Battery and Camera It is suggested that the Galaxy S24 FE could come with a 4,500 mAh battery, unlike the 4,000 mAh battery that the Galaxy S23 FE had. This should translate into a longer lifespan, although subsequent test results will reveal the validity of this information.

Moreover, it is believed that the Galaxy S24 FE could come with the same main 50 MP camera that we saw on the Galaxy S23. Although no other information has been made public about what other cameras it will have, it is reasonable to assume that they will be very similar to the other cameras on the Galaxy S23, i.e., a 12 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2) and a 10 MP telephoto camera (f/2.4) with 3x optical zoom.

There are many expectations for the Galaxy S24 FE, but also numerous unanswered questions. The most important aspect is the price of the device, which will determine the success of the launch. If the phone is too cheap, it will undermine sales of the Galaxy A series, and if it is too expensive, its value will be questioned.

Another crucial aspect is what AI Galaxy features will be included in this model and how they will compare to those in the main series of phones. So far, Samsung has strived to offer the best possible AI experience, so it is unlikely to fall short this time.

However, the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and the possibility of increasing the screen size and RAM/storage will likely attract a solid base of customers. We remain watchful for future announcements from Samsung regarding the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.
