In just three days, the Romanian coast became the meeting point of one of the most united fan communities in the world. K-POP DAYS NIBIRU attracted participants from Romania, South Korea, Greece, Austria, Spain, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, Australia, Germany, Italy and many other countries, confirming that Romania can become an important destination on the European circuit of major K-pop artists.

With a total traffic of approximately 175,000 people over the three days, the event becomes the largest K-pop festival ever organised in South-Eastern Europe and one of the most important events dedicated to Korean culture in this part of the continent.

Even before the gates opened, fans demonstrated the passion and discipline that define the K-pop community. Some fans arrived to queue as early as 5 in the morning, created their own organisation system with numbered wristbands, and when the Nibiru gates opened, ran towards the stage to secure front row spots. During the concerts, tens of thousands of participants sang every song in the Korean language, synchronised fan chants and recreated the atmosphere of major Asian concerts.

Romania, seen through the artists’ eyes

The first day of concerts brought to the main stage two of the most anticipated moments of the festival. EVERGLOW, one of the most appreciated female groups of the generation, brought tens of thousands of present fans to their feet, who sang every chorus alongside the artists. The evening culminated with the concert of TAEMIN, member of the legendary group SHINee and one of the most influential artists in K-pop history. In one of his few European appearances, the artist was welcomed by an audience that had been waiting since the break of dawn. Thousands of fans sang verse by verse in the Korean language, synchronised fan chants and recreated the atmosphere of major K-pop concerts from Asia, in a moment that impressed the artists and confirmed the strength of the K-pop community from Romania and the entire region.

“This is my first visit to Romania. You are so beautiful, so adorable, so gentle and so kind. Let’s sing together! I love you! Thank you, Romania! I will definitely come back,” TAEMIN conveyed to the tens of thousands of fans present at K-POP DAYS NIBIRU, before asking them to take a photograph together from the stage, at the end of a concert in which the audience sang alongside him every song, verse by verse, in the Korean language.

JEON SOMI also left with an excellent impression of Romania. Before the concert, the artist chose to spend time on the beach in Costinești, where she enjoyed the sea and the atmosphere of the resort.

“I went to the beach and I really liked it. I was able to relax without being recognised and I felt very good. Honestly, I don’t want to leave anymore. My experience in Romania has been too good,” confessed the artist, who constantly interacted with the audience throughout the concert.

Moreover, all the artists who took to the K-POP DAYS NIBIRU stage greeted the audience in the Romanian language and communicated with fans with a warmth that transformed every concert into a personal experience, bringing the artists even closer to the community present at the festival.

The DJ who fell in love with Nibiru

Another sign of the event’s success comes from XENITH himself, the DJ who continued the atmosphere created by the live acts on both festival days. After the artistic programme ended, he chose to spend his days and evenings at NIBIRU, impressed by the energy of the audience, the atmosphere created at the festival and the experience lived in Romania.

The grandmother who won over the K-pop generation

Among the most emotional moments of the festival, it was not an international artist on stage, but Maya’s grandmother, who came to the festival to accompany her granddaughter.

Observing the energy and naturalness with which she entered the atmosphere of the event, Selly invited her onto the Nibiru Arena stage and awarded her, to the applause of the audience, the symbolic title of “NIBIRU Grandmother”. Known for his messages about the importance of family and for the respect he promotes towards parents and grandparents, Selly invited her to convey a message to the K-pop generation, one of the most authentic moments of the entire weekend: “First of all, I thank Maya for bringing me into this wonderful community. From back there, I could see you were beautiful, but from here, on stage, I see you are exceptional. You cannot imagine how happy I am to have had these days alongside you. I have no voice, but I have stage presence!” she joked, drawing applause and smiles from the audience.

A community that is already starting to return

Interest in the next edition began before the current edition had even ended. Over 6,000 season passes for K-POP DAYS NIBIRU 2027 were already purchased during the pre-sale period, a clear signal that Romania has earned its place on the map of major K-pop events in Europe and that the festival has all the prerequisites to become a tradition for fans from across the region.

After the first edition, K-POP DAYS NIBIRU has transformed from a music festival into a platform that connects international artists, tourists and communities from around the world. For a few days, Romania became the place where tens of thousands of people spoke the same language: that of music, respect and passion for K-pop culture.
