Rita Ora launches Typebea: a haircare revolution rooted in personal struggle

Singer Rita Ora partners with Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey to introduce a groundbreaking haircare line aimed at fostering hair health and growth.

British singer and entertainment personality Rita Ora has ventured into the beauty industry with the launch of her new haircare brand, Typebea, in collaboration with Australian entrepreneur Anna Lahey. The unveiling took place this week at the Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell, marking a significant shift in Ora’s multifaceted career.

Known for her dynamic presence in the music industry and as a judge on popular TV shows such as ‘The Masked Singer’ and ‘The Voice UK’, Ora’s personal haircare woes were the catalyst for her latest entrepreneurial endeavor. After years of rigorous styling took a toll on her locks, leading to substantial hair loss, Ora was propelled to prioritize hair health over aesthetics—a journey that has now culminated in the creation of Typebea.

Typebea stands out in the crowded beauty market with its commitment to promoting hair growth and reducing hair shedding. The line is distinguished by its use of baicapil, a clinically studied complex that promises to increase hair density and reduce hair loss by up to 60%. Anna Lahey, the mind behind the successful ingestible beauty brand Vida Glow, brought her expertise to this venture, ensuring that the products are free from sulfates and parabens and are suitable for all hair types.

During the launch, Ora shared her transformative hair journey. “There was a point when I realized that I was losing so much hair and it really shook my confidence,” she recounted. The singer emphasized the importance of a healthy relationship with one’s hair, something she struggled to maintain while constantly changing her appearance for the public eye. Now sporting a chic, shorter cut, Ora expressed newfound confidence in embracing her natural hair, thanks to Typebea.

The haircare range is designed to cater to a diverse audience, including those with straight, curly, coily, wavy, thin, thick, color-treated, or extension-enhanced hair. Lahey highlighted the inclusivity of the line, stating, “It’s about promoting hair growth no matter your hair type, ensuring everyone can enjoy longer, stronger, and healthier hair.”

As Typebea hits the market, Rita Ora and Anna Lahey are poised to change the conversation around haircare, focusing on health and sustainability rather than just styling. Their product launch has not only introduced a promising solution for those struggling with hair issues but has also marked an important step towards inclusivity and wellness in the beauty industry.
