- The fashion retailer has invested over 10 million euros in its first store in south-western Romania, creating 100 local jobs.

Primark, the international fashion retailer, has officially opened its fifth store in Romania at ElectroPutere Mall in Craiova, following an investment of over 10 million euros. The opening marks Primark’s debut in south-western Romania and in Dolj County, after the retailer entered the local market in December 2022.
This milestone is part of a broader expansion strategy through which Primark doubles its presence in Romania this year. The retailer also confirmed today its plans to open a third store in Bucharest, at Sun Plaza, in the next financial year (September 2026 – September 2027), thus reaching a total of nine stores in Romania. This dynamic growth strategy positions Romania as one of Primark’s key markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
With a retail area of 3,185 sqm, spread across a single level, the Craiova store brings a new visual identity to Primark in Romania: generous display windows, lightboxes and digital screens showcase the latest collections.
The store offers customers in the region a wide range of products from everyday essentials such as denim and nightwear, to the latest trends in fashion, beauty and lifestyle all at the accessible prices that define Primark. With this opening, over 100 new local jobs have been created.

Primark currently operates five stores in Romania: two in Bucharest (AFI Cotroceni and ParkLake Shopping Centre) and one each at Iulius Mall Timișoara, VIVO! Cluj-Napoca and now ElectroPutere Mall Craiova.
