Primark announces the opening date of its first store in Sibiu

Primark opens its first store in Sibiu on Tuesday, July 14, in Shopping City Sibiu
The store spans 2,300 sqm and brings the latest collections in fashion, beauty, and home products
It is the sixth Primark store in Romania and the second opened this year, just one month after Craiova

Primark announces the opening of its sixth store in Romania, on Tuesday, July 14, marking the retailer’s debut in Sibiu county and a new step in its national expansion.

The new store, developed in partnership with NEPI Rockcastle and located in Shopping City Sibiu, will have a surface area of 2,300 square meters, spread across a single level, and will bring Primark’s accessible offering to one of the best-known cities in Transylvania.

Customers will be able to discover a varied range of products: the latest fashion collections, as well as everyday essentials for women, men, children, beauty, and home items, all at the accessible prices characteristic of Primark.

Among these will also be the sustainable products that Primark offers in all the markets in which it operates, as part of the retailer’s commitment to offering durable and accessible fashion to everyone. Currently, 74% of Primark’s clothing items are made from recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, compared to 66% in 2024.

Primark continues its expansion in Romania, with stores already open in Bucharest, Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca, and Craiova, as well as new openings planned in Iași and Bacău by the end of 2026. A third Bucharest store is also scheduled to open in Sun Plaza in financial year 2026–2027, further consolidating the retailer’s presence in the capital. Together, these openings mark a significant expansion of Primark’s presence in Romania, bringing the retailer’s offering closer to more and more customers throughout the country.
