In anticipation of the fall streaming season, OPI announces its biggest collection yet, featuring three vibrant palettes of metallic and matte shades, including unforgettable cyber dust – a cybernetic trace left by every action in cyberspace. In total, 27 shades. The Metallic Mega Mix collection is inspired by Y2K trends and pop culture hints from the 2000s, mixed with space aesthetics and futuristic escapism. Each shade is a metallic mic drop meant to create So. Mani. Hits.
For the first time in its history, OPI has created an exclusive musical track and video featuring musical artist and finger tutter @iam_dytto, which will be available on OPI’s TikTok and Instagram pages. Just like the new color palette, this track showcases a modern approach to iconic Y2K sounds. The lyrics capture OPI’s unique voice, with references to the collection’s hero shades. The world premiere of OPI’s first-ever music video will introduce the collection with the help of @dytto and dancers Sydney Marie Skipper and Andrew Tiamzon in a finger tutting choreography created by Dytto.
From millennium blues (Y2Slay, MillenniYUM) to rich, nostalgic reds (Cyber Cherry on Top, CD Rom-antic, DeJa RoUgE), the Metallic Mega Mix collection offers warm and cool tones that simply make your nails stand out. The stars of the collection are soft shades that reflect you (You’ve Got Nail, Lip Pink Battle, Intergalactips) mixed with new colors from futuristic space aesthetics (Liquid Fire, Funmetal, Stardust It Off). The palette culminates in dazzling metallic shades (SaTURN Me On, 2000 Karats).
With 27 colors in 4 formulas to choose from, OPI offers more metallic shades in this collection than ever before: 12 liquid metals in Nail Lacquer and GelColor formulas (limited edition), 9 exclusive metallic shades in the long-wear Infinite Shine lacquer, and 6 sparkling cyber dusts in the Powder Perfection formula.
“This year, we aim to expand OPI’s portfolio to offer more choices for greater personal expression. We started by adding more colors and effects in a variety of formulas in the spring collection, and we will continue to broaden our spectrum of colors and finishes with the fall collection,” announces Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador.
“OPI is now bringing metallic sparkles into the OPI color portfolio! Metallic Mega Mix includes a total of 27 shades, and everything in this collection has a built-in special effect,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “The look of the early 2000s is back, and we’ve given it a futuristic edge. If nostalgia comforts us and makes us feel good and optimistic about the future, we wanted to channel exactly that energy through nails.”

We’ve given metallic shades a fresh new take with ethereal tones, iridescent hues, and dichroic finishes (which allow different colors to appear depending on the lighting),” explains Jill Bartoshevich, OPI Global Director of Color Equity. “Each color is a standalone statement. When used in nail art, it creates something unseen before. The hero shade Cyber Cherry on Top is a cherry rose-red, whose pink tones will complement any fall outfit. Liquid Fire, another top shade, is a burnt orange that promises to be one of the huge trends for fall.”
