This January, Levi’s and UNDERCOVER joined forces once again, blending UNDERCOVER’s bold aesthetic with Levi’s timeless design to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Jun Takahashi’s iconic brand. Known for its eclectic mix of streetwear, high fashion, and subversive yet elegant designs, UNDERCOVER by Jun Takahashi pushes the boundaries of traditional style and culture. Combining UNDERCOVER’s rich archival references with Levi’s unmistakable DNA, the second Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection introduces a range of carefully crafted pieces that reflect a commitment to creativity, innovation, and personal style.

A Collection Honoring Both Legacies
Inspired by the heritage of both brands, the 9-piece Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection showcases exceptional craftsmanship and intricate design elements. The Pinnacle Type II Trucker Jackets feature detachable zipper details on the sleeves, collar, and side seams, allowing wearers to mix and match components for a customized look—a reference to UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from their Fall/Winter 1998 collection. The jackets are available in indigo denim and black velvet, finished with a co-branded jacron label and a “Small Parts” label on the back of the neck—an homage to UNDERCOVER’s original concept.
The Type I Trucker Jacket in the collection is crafted from 12 oz black-and-white denim, featuring an embroidered zig-zag pattern on the sleeves and hem, a nod to UNDERCOVER’s 2003 archival graphics. Meanwhile, the Type III Trucker Jacket follows a similar construction but introduces a newly developed artwork inspired by the yin-yang concept, featuring dual embroidery on the chest with the words “light” and “dark” on the front, plus a blend of screen printing and embroidered graphics on the back.
The collection also includes two pairs of jeans—a 501 Jean and a Baggy Jean—designed to mirror the composition, wash, and detailing of the Trucker jackets. The 501 Jean maintains its classic silhouette, featuring an embroidered zig-zag pattern on the side seams and a co-branded back patch, matching the Type I Trucker Jacket. Meanwhile, the Baggy Jean offers a more relaxed fit, incorporating a blend of screen printing and embroidery to complement the Type III Trucker Jacket.
Completing the collection are three t-shirts, each embodying the same visual language. The long-sleeve t-shirt, available in white, features a zig-zag print along the collar and sleeves. The short-sleeve t-shirts, available in black and white, showcase a combination of printed and embroidered graphic techniques. From archival references to distinct graphic direction, the collection reflects Levi’s and UNDERCOVER’s devotion to quality, craftsmanship, and versatility.

A Campaign Starring Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers
The collection’s visual campaign stars Flea, the legendary bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, photographed at his Malibu home by his daughter, Clara Balzary. Known for his music that seamlessly blends light and darkness, along with his iconic personal style and boundless creativity, Flea embodies the spirit of this collection.
The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection launched globally on January 18 and is available at Levi.com.
