Winter Sun and Romantic Atmosphere Draw Romanians to Marrakech

In 2024, Marrakech became the ideal destination for a winter getaway, with most bookings from Romania occurring in December, February, and March. As Valentine’s Day approaches, the weeks of January 27 and February 10, 2025, are already the most sought-after, as more and more Romanians choose to swap the cold at home for Marrakech’s mild winter sun and romantic charm.

Planning vacations in advance is becoming increasingly popular. Beyond Marrakech: Morocco’s Fascinating Diversity

While Marrakech remains the main destination, tourists make the most of their time in Morocco by exploring the country’s varied landscapes and historical attractions. From the narrow streets of Fes, famous for its tanneries, and the vibrant bustle of Casablanca, to the spectacular dunes of the Sahara Desert, Morocco offers experiences for every taste. With an average stay of nearly eight days, Romanians have the opportunity to dive deep into the country’s rich culture, savor traditional dishes, and enjoy adventures such as desert expeditions or visits to ancient Kasbahs, Morocco’s famous fortified citadels.

The growing popularity of Morocco reflects Romanians’ increasing interest in exotic destinations with warm climates, easy accessibility, and rich cultural heritage. Thanks to Kiwi.com’s advanced search tools and resources, planning these vacations has become much simpler, whether it’s for an adventurous getaway or a romantic retreat.
