(“Why did you turn around 180 degrees?”).
Musically, the year is off to a strong start for JUNO and Holy Molly, who together have released a hit song. “180 de grade” is now available on all streaming platforms and promises to resonate in speakers for a long time.
JUNO and Holy Molly are collaborating for the first time and have created a song with a deep message about the turning points in a relationship. “180 de grade” captures the story of a couple at a crossroads, facing contradictory feelings and the suspicion that a third person might intervene in their relationship.
With powerful lyrics and a melodic line that combines sensitivity with the intensity of inner feelings, JUNO and Holy Molly successfully convey the turmoil of a love that seems to be unraveling. The song talks about the distancing between two people who once deeply loved each other, now feeling that everything has changed by “180 degrees.”
About the song “180 de grade,” JUNO says: “‘180 de grade’ is a special song for me, very personal. I’ve had it for a while. It’s a lesson in patience and manifestation at the same time. I was sure that Holy was the perfect voice for this chorus and about a year ago she refused the song when I sent it to her with my voice on the chorus. I think she didn’t pay full attention when she listened to it and the fact that it was with my voice didn’t let her realize how her voice would sound on it. Recently we met in the studio to make another track and at the end I played her the song again and it was clear and on her face that she connected 100% with it. She recorded it immediately and it instantly sounded like the chorus was written for her, and at the end, I told her that she had refused this song before just to amuse myself a bit.”
“‘180 de grade’ is an extremely direct song, which makes you see clearly, without curtains, some painful parts of a relationship. It is my first collaboration with JUNO and I am glad it came at the right time.
We filmed together with Isabella Szanto the most difficult video in terms of movement, as it is our first one-shot video. This required a choreography rehearsed for 4 hours, so that everything would be perfect on camera, but both JUNO and I like challenges, especially the acting ones.
‘180 de grade’ is a project that unites many forces, but fundamentally everyone believed in the song. This makes me believe that many have that person to whom they would want to say things honestly and directly, and ‘180 de grade’ does that, you just have to allow yourself to feel,” says Holy Molly.
