iPhone 17 Air: Apple proposes a revolutionary port-free design

Apple is gearing up to disrupt the smartphone market this fall by introducing what could potentially be its most radical design yet: a port-free iPhone 17 Air. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in the latest Power On newsletter, the tech behemoth is considering launching its thinnest iPhone ever, eliminating the USB-C port to achieve an unprecedented slim profile.

Despite previous hesitations due to regulatory concerns in the EU, Apple is revisiting the idea of a completely port-free device as it continues to innovate in creating sleeker smartphones. The iPhone 17 Air, which is anticipated to be about 2mm thinner than its counterparts, is part of Apple’s ambitious plan to launch four new iPhones this year.

Over the recent weekend, renowned leaker Sonny Dickson teased the tech community with photos of iPhone 17 dummies, sparking curiosity about just how thin the iPhone 17 Air could be. Gurman suggests that the device will be priced around $900 USD and will boast a 6.6-inch screen, feature Dynamic Island, and include a Camera Control button. While Apple has not confirmed these details yet, the speculation alone is enough to keep the anticipation high.
