What It Means to Be Contemporary

The title of the collection, “hybrid,” represents the general idea of what the contemporary human is becoming — a response to the constant need to adapt to the accelerated passage of time. The only viable option is to develop and carry out activities in multiple directions simultaneously.

The concept of hybridity aligns best with the lifestyle demanded by 21st-century society. The collection represents the capsule wardrobe that the contemporary individual needs in order to successfully face today’s challenges.

A Fusion of Contrasts

Fusion is the conceptual process through which I chose to harmoniously combine two completely different stylistic directions.

On one hand, there is the sporty side, represented by the prints added to garments with a classic direction, through the tailoring I applied to other pieces.

The elegant, classic direction that serves as the secondary layer of the collection is brought to life through outfits that are easily recognizable by the general public as representative of this category. Each of them has undergone varying degrees of intervention in order to be integrated into the brand’s DNA.

Classic Pieces, Reimagined

From the simple black blazer to the gray wool trousers featured in the feminine silhouettes, they also embody the need to participate in and integrate into a corporate environment.

Broadly speaking, the proposed aesthetic can be seen as a blend of two different stylistic directions, explored through daywear. Each garment was designed in relation to another, in order to create a coherent outfit — both as a standalone look and as part of the collection as a whole.

Between Wearability and Artistic Expression

The collection was conceived to include both wearable, ready-to-wear pieces and garments that reflect the artistic dimension present in the brand’s vision. In the same manner, the garments that demonstrate the artistic character of the project were conceived, sketched, and brought to life.
