H&M Studio A/W26 offers a new interpretation of excellent tailoring. Inspired by the iconic black-and-white images of fashion photographers from the ’90s, the collection is built on contrasts. Masculine structures are set against a backdrop of sensual, powerful femininity to create something timeless and completely contemporary. Strong shoulders meet an hourglass silhouette. Heavy wool meets delicate lace details. The result is a deeply personal look, unmistakably H&M Studio. The collection will be available at the H&M Băneasa store and online at hm.com on September 24.

Key pieces include a mélange grey blazer with thin wool stripes, with details spilling out of the hems, a long wool coat, a shirt-dress with visible buttons covered in fabric, and a back zip, while accessories such as an oversized faux fur collar, an elastic hem and a faux leather belt complete the look. The collection also includes a black leather jacket, a cotton poplin shirt inspired by menswear, a white shirt with an hourglass silhouette, and a two-layer sheer jersey tank top.

The materials reflect the same spirit of deliberate contradiction. Heavy wool and the thin-striped suit are set off by delicate three-dimensional lace, with sequin overlays and sheer fabrics evoking lingerie, while knitwear and faux fur round out the story.

“H&M Studio A/W26 is about the quiet power of a woman who knows herself. She wears the looks with ease and ownership, but does it in her own way. There’s something almost cinematic about it, a sense of intense drama, but also joy. That’s the energy of 1990s Italian fashion photography, and that’s what we wanted to bring into the clothes,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor & Head of Design at H&M.

The H&M Studio A/W26 collection was unveiled at the H&M show at London Fashion Week on September 17.
