Home appliance brand Gorenje is extending its involvement in the European Handball Federation’s premium club competitions.
The EHF Champions League stands as the most prestigious club competition in European handball, bringing together each season the strongest men’s and women’s teams across the continent. The competition delivers top-level sporting spectacle and reaches international audiences worldwide.
Within this context, Gorenje, one of Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturers and part of Hisense Europe, continues its long-term partnership with the Machineseeker EHF Champions League and, for the first time, becomes a seasonal partner of the EHF Champions League Women.
The continuation and expansion of the partnership were announced during the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 event, held in Cologne.
Following its debut as a regional partner of the men’s top-tier competition in 2017, Gorenje has steadily strengthened its presence and active role across all areas of the competition. Since 2022, the brand has held premium partner status, and with the latest extension of the cooperation, it now becomes an Official Partner of both the Machineseeker EHF Champions League and the EHF Champions League Women.
Gorenje will be present in all arenas and will take part in all marketing activations across both the men’s and women’s editions of the EHF Champions League.
After securing advertising rights at the EHF FINAL4 Women in 2024 and 2025, Gorenje further expands its involvement in the women’s competition and aims to use this partnership to support and develop women’s sport.
Over the years, Gorenje has established itself as a highly active and engaged partner, including in the digital space. The brand has lent its name to initiatives such as Breakfast for Champions, which featured online interviews with key players ahead of the Match of the Week during the 2020–2022 period, Young Players to Watch in the 2023/2024 season, and Top 5 Goals last season.
Well known for its creative on-site activations, Gorenje is easily recognized by fans who have attended the EHF FINAL4 in Cologne over the years, through initiatives such as the giant tumble dryer challenge, the disco washing saloon, and the kitchen experience featuring personalized emoji masks.
David Szlezak, Managing Director of EHF Marketing, said:
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with a long-standing partner such as Gorenje. For the competition, this step confirms the value of our collaboration, especially through the inclusion of the EHF Champions League Women. The extension of the partnership reflects our shared commitment to the continued development of both competitions.”
Alenka Potočnik Anžič, Marketing Director at Hisense Europe, added:
“We are strengthening our commitment to European handball through partnerships with the most prestigious club competitions, including the EHF Champions League Women. Supporting women’s sport represents a key pillar of our sponsorship strategy.”
For more than a decade, Gorenje has supported European sport at the highest level, aligning itself with competitions that promote performance, teamwork, and dedication. Its consistent involvement in handball reflects the brand’s values and its commitment to supporting athletes, competitions, and the fan communities that turn sport into an authentic experience.
