On July 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM, the Ghețărie Gallery of the Cultural Center “Brâncovenian Palaces at the Gates of Bucharest” – Mogoșoaia becomes the stage for a remarkable international artistic event: GENTLE COHESION, an exhibition that brings together 19 female artists from 15 countries in a celebration of feminine solidarity and cultural diversity.
Presented by Go Art Projects, this exhibition curated by artist Adriana Florea Băloiu (Romania) offers a visual journey into the strength of fragility and the invisible connections that link women beyond borders, religions, or political contexts. The exhibition is hosted by the Brâncovenian Palaces Cultural Center, a historic space that enhances the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.
“GENTLE COHESION” brings together artists from India, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Mozambique, Thailand, Austria, Romania, Poland, Turkey, China, Mexico, USA, Ireland, and the Netherlands – different voices united by a common message: fragility can be a form of resilience, and collaboration among women is an act of courage and change. Through works of painting, installation, graphics, ceramics, photography, kinetic sculpture, and textile art, the exhibition becomes a global platform of feminine artistic expression, focused on themes such as identity, gender stereotypes, trauma, memory, spirituality, and human connection.

GENTLE COHESION is a statement event with a dual role: as an exhibition on one hand, and as a curatorial platform on the other. Its purpose? To harness the collaborative potential of feminine artistic practices in an intercultural context. The project explores themes such as identity, gender stereotypes, memory, trauma, spirituality, and human connection – through works of painting, installation, graphics, ceramics, photography, kinetic sculpture, and textile art. Each piece functions as an autonomous narrative, yet deeply interconnected, outlining an aesthetic solidarity articulated around resilience, introspection, and the reclaiming of identity.
In an art world historically dominated by patriarchal structures, GENTLE COHESION brings the female voice to the forefront as a critical necessity, not an exception. Differences become sources of meaning, and art – a shared space of reflection and resistance. The project affirms art as a tool of symbolic contestation and reconstruction, advocating for unity in diversity and opening new possibilities for inclusion and collective regeneration.
The GENTLE COHESION event follows an already established international artistic direction, since 2024, when Adriana Florea Băloiu curated the Romanian Pavilion at the second edition of the Empower Her Art Forum (EHAF), held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Cairo. The Dialogue of Nurturing project, created in collaboration with artist Anca Boeriu and supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute, presented works in various techniques – painting, graphics, installation, video – outlining a visual dialogue between abstraction and figuration, between strength and gentleness.
