This year’s edition comes with even more energy: live concerts for all ages, color, joy, and a series of attractions that turn the visit into a complete experience for the whole family.
The charm of UNTOLD Universe, known for its color, emotion, and memorable shows, will once again envelop West Side Christmas Market, the holiday-themed fair created in Drumul Taberei Park, in partnership with the City Hall of Sector 6 Bucharest. Transformed into a true universe of color, joy, and light, West Side Christmas Market will open its gates on November 28 at 17:00, during a spectacular event featuring magical moments such as the lighting of the festive decorations, fireworks, and a live concert by Andia.
Starting November 28 and until December 27, Bucharest residents will be able to experience the most intense Christmas atmosphere, which will bring even more live concerts on the West Side Christmas Market stage. Smiley, Loredana, Fuego, Vunk, Viorica Pintilie, Simona Delegeanu, Damian & Brothers, Andia, Breeze and many others will create unforgettable evenings for everyone who steps into the fair.
OFFICIAL OPENING PROGRAM OF WEST SIDE CHRISTMAS MARKET
On Friday, from 17:00, a new chapter of the winter fairytale West Side Christmas Market begins. Thousands of people are expected in Drumul Taberei Park, in Sector 6, to enjoy together the official start of the winter holidays. The evening’s schedule:
● 17:00 – Opening of the fair
● 19:00 – Lighting of festive decorations and fireworks show
● 19:30 – Andia concert
For 30 days, West Side Christmas Market becomes the must-see winter destination: live shows with some of the most loved Romanian artists, magical evenings of carols, surprises for children, irresistible food, activities for the whole family, and, of course, the highly anticipated moment the meeting with Santa Claus. The fair will be open daily as follows:
● Monday- Friday: 15:00 -22:00
● Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 – 22:00
On holidays, the weekend schedule applies. Entry is free.
“West Side Christmas Market is financially self-sustaining, as are all our major events. We do not spend money from the local budget, on the contrary, we bring in money. What makes our Christmas fair special? Beyond the fabulous decorations, the fairytale setting (being in a park), the concerts and activities for children we have prepared, you will see that the atmosphere here is unique, warm, and full of joy. And that is because the entire community is involved and we all put our hearts into it,” said Sector 6 Mayor, Ciprian Ciucu.
What attractions await you at West Side Christmas Market, 2025 edition
This year’s edition transforms West Side Christmas Market into one of the most attractive winter destinations in Bucharest, with even more reasons for the whole family to have fun. Children will discover an impressive ice rink of 750 square meters, much larger than last year, a fairytale carousel, and a 33-meter panoramic wheel offering spectacular views of the fair. The illuminated bridge completes the experience with a perfect panoramic view for memorable photos.
Santa’s House, expanded this year to 100 square meters, awaits children with surprises, creative workshops, and interactive activities. Tradition will once again blend with technology and innovation, as the reindeers’ magical route to Lapland comes to life through virtual reality experiences.
Adults will enjoy a heated terrace with a superb view, where they can savor a glass of mulled wine and enjoy time with friends or family. The fair also includes many Instagrammable areas, perfect for capturing the holiday spirit in picture-perfect scenes.
West Side Christmas Market also becomes a true gastronomic universe, where traditional food meets flavors from international cuisines. Visitors will discover 60 chalets with seasonal treats, delicious desserts, aromatic mulled wine, and handcrafted gifts from local artisans. The culinary experience is complemented by 8 food trucks, adding even more diversity and flavor for a surprising feast at every step.
