Feeric Fashion Week reaches its 16th edition, solidifying its position as a reference event in the international fashion world. This festival brings influential personalities from the industry to Sibiu and provides an essential platform for both established designers and the new generation of creators. Participation in all fashion shows during Feeric Fashion Week is free, offering all fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to attend unique creative events. The number of participants is only limited by the capacity of the chosen locations.

Education and Entrepreneurship in Fashion
For two days, Feeric Fashion Week will host workshops conducted by IED – Istituto Europeo di Design and the University of Westminster. “International connections are essential in the development of a project like Feeric Fashion Week, which not only offers a show but is a catalyst for changing the face of the fashion industry in Eastern Europe. Through the continuous educational program, we aim to supplement the knowledge of future designers regarding the market in which they will operate. This involves facilitating the interaction of emerging designers with professionals and key figures from the most important fashion structures. Moreover, in this edition, we will have over 12 different locations where we will conduct events. Partnerships with Istituto Europeo di Design and the University of Westminster create free educational opportunities, and connections with NEPI Rockcastle, Kreep Milano, or Imax Tree generate exposure and commercialization opportunities for the designers in our platform,” says Mitichi, President of Feeric Fashion Week. Over the course of two days, there will be seminars focused on fashion entrepreneurship and creative industries, with presentations on the use of AI in fashion and marketing by Donald Gjoka (Coeval Studio, Milan) and on sustainability in fashion by Sara Sozzani Maino (Vogue Talents). The “Give Credit” campaign, presented by Andreea Tănăsescu (La Blouse Roumaine), will address the relationship between brands and cultural heritage. Roxana Băiaș (NEPI Rockcastle) will discuss the challenges and opportunities for independent designers in the commercial environment.

Social Message of Solidarity
The fashion shows will debut with a powerful social message, intending to highlight the political-social context in which the entire industry operates. Ukrainian designers from the Ukrainian Fashion Education Group will open the series of individual fashion shows, bringing to the public’s attention creations made under difficult war conditions. To further emphasize the message we want to convey, the event will take place in the bunker built in the basement of Promenada Sibiu, offering a powerful emotional experience.
Feeric Venue, located in the CineGold space in Promenada Sibiu, will host capsule and experimental collections from designers from over 20 countries. Among the chosen show locations for this year’s edition are some truly special ones; while Sibiu Airport, the Brukenthal National Museum, and the Boromir group’s flour mill may be familiar to the Feeric community, the surprises come from how these locations will be utilized. At the airport, we will figuratively elevate fashion to the skies, while at the Venom Karting circuit, we will literally accelerate it. These unconventional locations will create a spectacular dynamic for the fashion shows.
The presentations will include an exhibition by Acote Flowers at the travelators in Promenada Sibiu, highlighting the concern for environmental sustainability. Fashion, being one of the most polluting industries, has the responsibility to protect nature and promote ecological practices. “The pandemic was certainly an undesirable phenomenon and a devastating factor for the fashion industry, which is still affected by the international socio-political situation. Four years after its outbreak, we can say that Feeric Fashion Week is back on the path it set for itself, and this edition sees not only the return of key international supporters but also extended participation from countries like Paraguay, India, Uzbekistan, alongside distinguished guests such as the University of Westminster and Istituto Europeo di Design. This community gravitating around the event in Sibiu contributes to changing the face of the industry in this region of the world. This can only be achieved through strong alliances between entities that offer real opportunities to designers, and we at Feeric Fashion Week are the cohesive factor for such an ecosystem conducive to the industry’s development,” adds Mitichi.
Feeric Gala at Brukenthal College Courtyard
Saturday will culminate with the Feeric Gala in Piața Huet, where collections from Romanian and international designers will be presented, alongside artistic moments and award and scholarship ceremonies. The gala will start at 9 PM. Before the gala, the event “At Home, to the Origins” will offer an emotional journey into our cultural heritage and identity.
