A fashion collection showcased at Romanian Design Week
Bucharest, May 16, 2025 — In an edition of Romanian Design Week that explores the future under the theme “Design Tomorrow Today,” Raffaello and the fashion brand Mia Peculiar unveil an unexpected collaboration: a fashion suite that transforms clothing into a multisensory language, seeking to answer a curious question: what if Raffaello were… a dress?

Titled “Raffaello by Mia Peculiar – White Collection: A Dreamlike Poetry of Textures,” the collection draws inspiration from the visual and tactile universe of the Raffaello confection. It presents six fashion creations in an exhibition format, featured in the central section of the Romanian Design Week festival.
This harmony of style and sensory design can be experienced between May 16–25, at the historic venue in George Enescu Square, formerly home to the iconic CINA restaurant (Benjamin Franklin 10).

From Fashion Week to Design Week
Following its debut at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, the “Raffaello by Mia Peculiar” collection—signed by designer Costina Costa-Foru—continues its visual journey at Romanian Design Week, a key platform celebrating Romania’s creative industries.
“Our presence at Romanian Design Week continues the conversation started in the world of fashion.
Raffaello is more than a confection—it is a unique multisensory experience.
We wanted to translate this complexity into visual and tactile art, and fashion felt like the ideal language.
In doing so, we’re participating in a context that emphasizes interdisciplinarity and meaningful design,”
— Silvia Butolo, Country Marketing Manager, Ferrero Romania.
White Collection: A Dreamlike Poetry of Textures
This sartorial interpretation of Raffaello’s aesthetics explores contemporary femininity through a delicate play of textures.
Each outfit reflects a contrast—between opaque and transparent, rigid and fluid, classic and unpredictable—forming a visual language of balance between delicacy and strength.
“I wanted each piece to express how texture, volume, and minimalism can evoke real emotion.
Raffaello inspired me with its contrast between simplicity and refinement.
The collection explores exactly that—between softness and strength, the visible and the subtle,”
— Costina Costa-Foru, Designer and Founder of Mia Peculiar.
Contrasts of Texture and Material
The Raffaello by Mia Peculiar collection consists of six outfits that offer a modern reinterpretation of femininity, using a refined mix of silk, organza, lace, and delicate pearls.
Presented in harmonious pairs, the looks evoke a tactile and emotional experience, inviting the viewer to indulge in something light, delicate, and exquisitely crafted.
