BERLIN, June 3, 2024 // Zalando, a leading European online platform for fashion and lifestyle, continues its efforts to inspire people to discover and express themselves through sport by launching a new campaign ‘Your best is yet to come’, encouraging customers to dive fearlessly into various sport disciplines, unafraid of falling short.
As anticipation builds in Europe ahead of the Olympics and the European Championship, Zalando welcomes consumers to join the cultural momentum and engage with sport in a way that reflects who they are. Viewers of the campaign join top athletes, not on their usual playing field when they perform at their best, but instead as they face unexpected challenges in football, fitness and running.
Sports enthusiasts are invited to connect with Robert Lewandowski, one of the most accomplished football players of his generation; Alexia Putellas, captain of FC Barcelona Femení and Spain national women’s football team; fashion and fitness entrepreneur Caro Daur; eSports star Ebru Önal as well as Grammy nominated recording artist Pusha T to find confidence in embracing varying abilities together.
“With the excitement of this summer of sports, we’re seizing the opportunity to connect with our customers. We want to show how Zalando’s access to top sports brands and relevant sport assortment empowers everyone to achieve their personal best. Seeing the story come to life with excellent talents such as Robert Lewandowski, Alexia Putellas, Caro Daur, Pusha T, to name a few is a proud moment for all of us.”
Robert Lewandowski, striker at FC Barcelona says: “Working with Zalando on the ‘Your best is yet to come’ campaign has been a great experience. It aligns perfectly with my belief that sports are not just about competition, but about constantly improving and reaching new heights without fear of failure. In football, as in life, it’s about moving forward and improving every day. This campaign reminds us that our best moments are still ahead, while encouraging everyone to embrace their journey’s ups and downs.”
There is no better time than now to zoom into Romanians’ sports habits, and how Zalando enables them to be active through an exciting assortment as well as inspirational experiences.

A recent study indicates that 20% of Romanians exercise or do sports at least once a week, and another 6% practice sports 1 to 3 times a month. Figures also show barriers to sports participation in Romania, such as time constraints (38%) or lack of motivation (22%). Zalando knows that sports apparel, shoes, accessories and equipment often contribute to how motivated and confident someone feels while exercising or playing their sport. That’s why Zalando makes finding the right sports apparel and products easier and more inspiring for its customers.

Zalando launches private label Adaptive Sports collection
Continuing its efforts to build an inclusive and truly diverse assortment for underrepresented groups and recognising how finding fashionable, functional and affordable sports clothing still represents a major challenge for Disabled people, Zalando is launching its first Adaptive Sports collection via private label brands Pier One Sports and Even&Odd active. The range, consisting of 14 pieces and launching in June, is thoughtfully designed to offer stylish yet functional and comfortable apparel that celebrates the unique needs and individuality of sports enthusiasts with physical disabilities. Zalando partnered with Ottobock, a global leader in healthtech and prosthetics, to exchange insights and feedback from their athletes in order to create designs and garments that support them best. An example of the upcoming adaptive sports styles are leggings where one pant leg is shortened and finished with an elastic band to keep it in place and improve the comfort for people with an above-knee amputation. Zalando invited amputee athlete Fiona Pinar Batalla to star in the campaign where she proudly presents the private label pioneering adaptive sportswear collection.
