As millions prepare for their winter holidays, Uber makes accessing Europe’s top Alpine destinations easier than ever. Uber Ski was launched in early February in seven European countries, offering fixed-price, uninterrupted rides from major transport hubs to some of the continent’s most beloved ski resorts.
Available in Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, Uber Ski allows passengers to book a vehicle—equipped with ski and snowboard racks—at the touch of a button. Whether tourists are heading to the mountains or returning after a weekend on the slopes, Uber Ski ensures stress-free travel.
From the famous slopes of Val d’Isère in the French Alps to the impressive Sierra Nevada mountain range in Spain, Uber Ski offers direct and affordable transfers from airports and train stations to over 90 ski resorts. Fixed rates start at just €49 for up to 5 passengers, with the option to book a ride up to 60 days in advance.
The new service was launched in response to the growing demand for Uber’s services to winter tourist destinations in Europe. Data from the winter of 2024 shows that international customer demand for Uber services doubled in resorts like Courchevel in France and Gstaad in Switzerland. In 2024, nearly half a million international tourists opened the Uber app in popular Alpine destinations in Europe, with the majority being British, American, and German tourists, looking for a simple way to organize their winter holidays.

Uber Ski is the latest innovation from Uber, initially tested in Les Deux Alpes and l’Alpe D’Huez, now expanding to 90 destinations that include some of the world’s most popular slopes. Uber continues to invest in products dedicated to international travel: Uber Boat was launched in 2024 in several sunny locations such as Mykonos, Corfu, and Santorini. In the UK, Uber has introduced flight bookings and partnered with Eurostar to enable seamless travel across continental Europe and beyond.
