Is beauty a quiet KPI we all pretend not to see – the elephant in the room of confidence, success, identity, and culture? On April 23, 18:30, TheAlternativeSchool Creative MBA launches The Future of Beauty 2026, in partnership with Peroni and hosted at The Great Hill, a sharp, cross-industry conversation about how beauty is decoded, used, reshaped, and turned into value by brands, creators and societies.

The Future of Beauty is the newest chapter in #TheFutureOf, TheAlternativeSchool’s foresight & insight business intelligence platform, built to explore the trends that reshape society, work, culture and the way brands earn trust and relevance. This edition looks at beauty beyond aesthetics: a language of self-esteem and empowerment, a cultural code, a business accelerator, and, at times, a form of soft power.

The 2026 speaker lineup brings four complementary lenses: Cristina Scomoroscenco, new-gen premium brand Chanand co-founder and skincare chemist (science and safety as the backbone of contemporary beauty); Adi Bulboacă, fashion photographer, ultramarathoner, and nomad, on beauty revealed in extreme environments, from the set to the Arctic; Alexandre Duarte, international professor and researcher, with a talk on “Beauty_Branding_Culture. The Portuguese key ” and Teodora Migdalovici, founder of LadiesFirst, on “Beauty as Identity,” followed by award-winning international case studies projection, from major creative competitions.

About Adi Bulboacă

Adi Bulboacă was born in the summer of ’88, and sixteen years later he picked up photography. Sixteen years after that, his passion for running matched his passion for taking pictures. Long before he started ultramarathons, his photographic projects already looked like endurance tests: one month living in over 100 trains across Romania, traveling and photographing 15,000 kilometers, then repeating the experiment on trains across the Balkans; photographing more than 1,000 theatre performances or shooting nonstop for 24 hours in the New York subway.

He has taken part in the 6633 Arctic Ultra three times: the first time covering 325 kilometers out of the race’s 620, at −30°C, and the third time finishing 2nd in the “short” 182-kilometer course. At the same time, he documented a close Brazilian friend’s 620-kilometer race.

About Alex Duarte

With a career that started successfully in advertising, Alex d’Arte is a Lisbon-based curious traveller, surfer, professor at NOVA University Lisbon, and researcher at ICNOVA, working at the intersection of branding, strategic communication, and the cultural mechanics of perception. As an international lecturer and speaker, he brings a rare mix of academic rigor and real-world clarity, translating complex ideas into frameworks brands can actually use, always with a touch of freshness, humor and pun-intended seasoning.
