Gamuel Sori and Izzy Bizu breathe new life into classic grooves with their new single, “Messing With My Heart.” Gamuel Sori’s production reimagines the original hit by The Spinners with modern rhythms and innovative sounds, infusing the track with vibrant energy while maintaining its classic essence. Izzy Bizu’s captivating voice adds warmth and power, perfectly complementing Sori’s dynamic approach. Their collaboration merges classic soul with contemporary trends, creating an exciting 2024 version of an immortal favorite.
The original track was written by Stevie Wonder, Lee Garrett, and Syreeta Wright. The new production was handled by Gamuel Sori and Maury Pozzi.
“The creation of this track started in a period when I was listening to a lot of soul music. I came across the ’70s classic by The Spinners, ‘It’s A Shame,’ and wondered what it would sound like as a disco-house track. As a longtime fan of the talented Izzy Bizu, I knew her soulful sound would be perfect. She was excited to collaborate, and we quickly got to recording. The result is a disco-house track that we are proud of,” says Gamuel Sori.

Italian DJ and producer Gamuel Sori, known for his “grooves made in Italy,” blends disco, house, and electronic influences to create captivating EDM tracks. Launching his career in 2020, he gained recognition with his debut track “Money’s Gone” on BBC Radio 1. Soon, he became a regular in Italian clubs, securing residencies at top venues like Number One Disco, Italy’s largest club. Gamuel Sori co-produced the platinum-certified track “FASHION” alongside Italian rappers ANNA, Lazza, and Tony Effe. Collaborating with international stars such as INNA, Gromee, and Mr. Belt & Wezol, his music has reached audiences in over 10 countries and led to performances at Amsterdam Dance Event. In 2024, he created Mixmarathons for SLAM! (NL) and performed live on a rooftop in Berlin. Early in 2024, Gamuel Sori teamed up with Tujamo for the track “Sometimes,” which reached number 20 on the German Dance Charts. His collaboration with Molella and Minelli, “Let’s Dance (Volare),” climbed the radio charts in Lithuania and Bulgaria.
Izzy Bizu quickly became a standout talent in the UK music scene, capturing the audience’s attention with her vibrant artistry. Her collaborations with industry giants like David Guetta, Kungs, ODESZA, Robin Schulz, and others have showcased her versatility and cemented her reputation. Many discovered Izzy through her international hit “White Tiger,” which has garnered over 114M streams on Spotify and experienced a resurgence on TikTok in 2023. Her February 2024 collaboration with David Guetta and Kungs, “All Night Long,” has already surpassed 40M streams on Spotify, and her recent track with Robin Schulz, “Only Way Is Up,” has reached 4.9M streams on Spotify.
In 2023, Izzy joined ODESZA on their North American tour and will collaborate with them again in 2024 for their final tour, “The Last Goodbye.” With a promising series of upcoming collaborations, Izzy is gearing up for a successful year. Her early talent earned her a nomination for the Brit Critics’ Choice and the BBC Introducing Artist of The Year award in 2016, as well as further recognition on the BBC Sound of 2016 list.
