The new system, enhanced with artificial intelligence, equips every CLA with a supercomputer connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud. This enables regular updates via over-the-air technology for the vehicle’s most crucial functions, including the driving assistance systems, a first in the industry. MB.OS marks the beginning of the fourth generation of MBUX. This opens a new world of personalized experiences and intuitive interaction between human and vehicle, setting new standards in the automotive industry. The new generation MBUX is the first auto infotainment system that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) from Microsoft and Google. For the first time, multiple AI agents are combined into a single system.

Intelligent, Communicative, and Empathetic as a Friend: The New MBUX Virtual Assistant

With generative artificial intelligence, the new MBUX Virtual Assistant revolutionizes the relationship between the car and the driver. It allows for complex, multi-turn dialogues similar to those you would have with a friend, featuring short-term memory. Based on ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing searches, it gathers the collective knowledge of the internet. Thanks to Google Gemini, the virtual assistant is also well-prepared regarding navigation questions. It can access information from the Google Maps platform to provide detailed and personalized answers to questions about navigation, points of interest, and more. The MBUX Virtual Assistant is always present on the Zero Layer as a “living” avatar in the form of the Mercedes-Benz star. During an active dialogue, it recognizes emotions and can respond accordingly.

MB.DRIVE Sets a New Standard with State-of-the-Art Driving and Parking Assistance Systems

The new CLA models in Europe come standard with extended safety features and DISTRONIC Distance Assist. Additional comfort assistance systems are grouped by Mercedes-Benz under the name MB.DRIVE. MB.DRIVE ASSIST will be optionally available in Europe from the market launch. It complements DISTRONIC Distance Assist with Steering Assist, transforming it into a state-of-the-art driving assistance system of SAE level 2. New in CLA is also Lane Change Assist, which facilitates lane changes with a simple flick of the turn signal. The safety assistance systems can prevent a multitude of accidents.

Effortless on the Road: CLA with EQ Technology is the Car for the Electric Era

Remarkable low consumption and high range The carbon footprint of the new 100% electric CLA is reduced by 40% across the entire value chain compared to its unelectrified predecessor. With remarkable low consumption and impressive range in this segment, the CLA takes electric mobility in everyday life to a new level. The first models to hit the markets in Europe are CLA 250+ with EQ technology (combined energy consumption: 14.0-12.2 kWh/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 0 g/km | CO₂ class: A) and CLA 350 4MATIC with EQ technology (combined energy consumption: 14.8-12.5 kWh/100 km | combined CO₂ emissions: 0 g/km | CO₂ class: A). With a range of up to 792 kilometers according to WLTP, the CLA 250+ with EQ technology and 200 kW offers an extended range in its class. CLA 350 4MATIC with EQ technology and 260 kW is positioned as the high-performance version at the top of the model range.

800-Volt Electrical Architecture Makes Charging Almost as Fast as Fueling The 800-volt system can significantly reduce charging time, in combination with the new generation of batteries. CLA 250+ with EQ technology can be charged for a range of up to 325 kilometers in just ten minutes. Fast DC charging with up to 320 kW is possible for CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC.
