This year’s playlist is a rich mix of R&B and hip-hop, featuring 40 songs that stood out in 2023 according to the iconic rapper. Among the highlighted tracks are Beyoncé’s “My House,” Travis Scott’s “FE!N” featuring Playboi Carti and Gunna, and multiple entries from Drake, including “8am in Charlotte” and his collaboration with J. Cole, “First Person Shooter.” J. Cole appears again alongside Lil Yachty with “The Secret Recipe.” The playlist also includes songs from artists like Sampha, André 3000, Future, Don Toliver, Offset, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Uzi Vert. One of the playlist’s more talked-about selections is Diddy’s track “Boohoo,” featuring Jeremih.
